Libby’s specialty is pain care. She has cared for patients in hospital, urgent care, and outpatient settings. She has held numerous director positions throughout her career and sees collaboration with other specialties as the catalyst for the best possible patient outcomes. She joined Associated Physicians Group in December of 2017.

Labor and Delivery
A spinal epidural is an injection of anti-inflammatory medication into space outside of the sac of fluid around the spinal cord. It is different from epidural anesthesia that is often given to women to relieve their pain during labor and delivery. Epidural steroid injections offer short-term pain relief—weeks or months—for people with back pain that has not improved with other medications or non- surgical treatments.

Internal Medicine
Jodi treats patients in Pain Management and/or Internal Medicine according to the direction and training collaborative physicians. She is a certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and both the Illinois and Missouri State Boards of Nursing.

Ultrasound
The advantage of Platelet-Rich Plasma Therapy is that it’s done in an exam room and takes less than an hour. The patient’s blood is drawn and placed in a centrifuge for 15 minutes to separate out the platelets. As the plasma is being prepared, the APG clinician will use diagnostic ultrasound to identify the injured tissue. The platelet-rich plasma is then injected into the damaged portion of the tendon or cartilage under further the guidance of ultrasound.
