House gets most of the business during the day from local business people on their lunch break, which makes dinner the best time to go because they aren't crowded. Always an attentive wait staff and the food is always delicious. The French dip, lettuce wraps and goat cheese appetizers are just of few of my favs.

Great lunch when you feel like something a little more than just a sandwich counter. Excellent salads. And the servers are great about getting you in and out without feeling rushed.

Overall

Once you have a French Dip here, you will never want one anywhere else! They have endless fries - although their first serving is more than enough. Only disappointment is they aren't open weekends!

Not as good as the1st time.

We had deviled eggs, pulled pork sandwich and french dip. The eggs are good french dip with average and pulled pork was bad. The first time we went in pulled pork was awesome.

House Kitchen & Bar boasts a casual but sophisticated atmosphere where you can find re-imagined classic American comfort food that caters to a variety of tastes. Located to the west of the state Capitol, House was created with the idea in mind that our House is yours: a place where you can enjoy your favorite homemade recipes such as macaroni and cheese and fried chicken, but with a contemporary twist. Open for lunch Monday through Friday, House also offers dinner service and an extended happy hour Wednesday through Friday, with specialty cocktails, house wine by the glass, and an array of appetizers for $5; as well as $2 and $3 draft beers served from 4pm until 8pm. The outside patio dining area, with its inviting and eye-catching bright orange umbrellas, evokes feelings of leisure and socialization. Summertime weather, coupled with superior food, drinks, and service, make House Kitchen & Bar downtown Sacramento’s newest and most noteworthy destination.
