After surgery for removal of lap band, I found lack of explanation for recovery from the staff at the hospital ... follow up from this office was fine and informative.

They are always willing to work with you, and there has never been a time they have not had a smile on their faces while doing so. They are willing to answer any question and if they do not have the answer right there they call and follow up to get it for you and let you know. After I had a less than positive experience with my ultrasound they actually called the facility to find out out who was my technician, to help ensure other patients were not sent to the same place/person to have the same experience.

Dr. Sommer was very detailed on what to expect from beginning to end - the good and the not-so good. His staff is very professional and discreet. The initial consultation is what tipped the scales in favor of finally going through a procedure that I had been considering for several years. I am only on week post-op and already feel better than how I have felt in years. I am very excited about the new life that awaits me and am grateful to NYBG for giving me that start.

My consultation with Dr. Small was very informative. He discussed the procedure thoroughly and also what to expect. At the time of the procedure his staff made sure I was comfortable. I will definitely be seeing Dr. Small again for future procedures.

This Doctor has met all my expectations, from my first appointment all the way to my surgery. I have to admit I was scared at first but when I had my endoscopy done, it was such a smooth and great experience overall that it made me feel secure. From the lovely staff at the office to the awesome staff at the Hudson Valley Hospital, they just make you feel totally comfortable and you know that your care is in the right hands! When I started my research on Bariatric Surgery it just felt right to go with the New York Baritaric Center and I was right. My commute to to the doctors office is 45 minutes by car, it may seem like a lot, but when you want to be in the right hands for a procedure of this magnitude you have to make the right choices. I am totally happy with mine, and I would do it again!

Dr Forbes was really informative and took the time to explain the entire process with me. It was worth the hour ride to the office to see her.

Doctor sommer is an Exceptional and caring Doctor that brings out the best in people. He certainly has brought out the best in me. My journey that began with him in June of 2014 has resulted in a weight loss of over 200 pounds. His first question to me on my first visit...'so what are we doing here today Christopher.,' has stayed with me through it all...and his comment on the day of my surgery...'I am expecting big things from you.,' continues to drive me to better myself today.
