Shari's Restaurant

service is so slow! you shouldn't have to wait 20-25 minutes for food that is microwaved or deep fried... the servers smile, but don't see to really care... they never check on you to see if your drinks are filled (or if you've even gotten them at all).. i've tried to give them a chance on several occasions, but after several times the same bad experience, i'm never going back...

Since Beef & Brew closed and Shari's opened I have to rate Shari's as the best dine in Roseburg. They have some really great items on the menu. Though I have had better with the steak BBQ'ed over mesquite charcoal, their T-bone is better than their second contender at 7 Feathers.



About the only thing lacking is I wish it was a bit more romantic a setting as it would be better for me to take my dates to impress them.



Nearly forgot. They have really killer pie. They're so good I buy a slice then buy a whole pie to take home. The waiters and waitresses are also the best in Roseburg.



The next best place I can think of is Appleby's. But I don't care too much for that place as while the food is nearly as good and a bit more romantic setting, the business really revolves around the alcoholic drinks they sell. And I never have so much as one if I am going to be driving. I have never driven after so much as one beer in the prior 8 hours in my entire life. I may be a bit paranoid this way, but I won't be changing it. I simply relax at home with a few great IPA's, Imperials or Porter's sometimes. You can keep the standarg lager swills. I won't even touch them.

This restaurant is nothing but an overpriced Denny's. Both my wife eat there once where we had lousy food and will never return. We are residents of Roseburg OR and find that 99% of the restaurants in town are fast food without any culinary talent.
