General Info: Born and raised in Montgomery County, Maryland, Dr. Bassin graduated from Walt Whitman High School en route to Washington University in St. Louis, where he received his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering. He went on to medical school at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. followed by a residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard University teaching hospital. His education continued at Yale University where he served as a fellow in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
