My Auto Surgeon

My son who is 23 years old took my car in for an AC refill. My son told them it was a new engine so he didn't need an inspection or flush. He had an appointment for 2pm, yet the car wasn't pulled in till 2:20. They had his car in for 30 minutes then gave him the bill. It was $132.70. My son went to the only guy working up front, Danny. He asked him why it was so high. Danny said they had to check the system for leaks, do an evac, and charge the system. Their website says this is a $89 package, yet my son was charged 40 more. My son told him that's not what he wanted. He told Danny that It is a new engine with no AC fluid in it, so nothing to evac. He also did not want the inspection. Danny then bullied my son, telling him that this company automatically does this with every AC refill that comes in. My son told him he should have told him that over the phone because he would have gone elsewhere. Danny then told him to pay the money or he couldn't get his car. I called as soon as my son got back and I saw the ridiculous bill. Danny said management was out for a few weeks, so I asked him to give my name and number to the owner. He tried hanging up without getting either I had to stop him. I will update once the owner calls back. We will see what kind of shop this really is then. I can't stand places that rip off kids just because they don't know their rights.
