Ferndale Cemetery

This place is terrible your lucky if you come out of there with your car in one piece there's pot holes that will eat your entire car on top of that my daughter's head stone is sinking the grass is never cut never weed waked it's just not kept up I wish I could move my daughter somewhere else. I wouldn't even bury my dog in that cemetery that's how bad it is

My sister, aunt and great grandmother are all buried in this hell hole of a cemetery my aunts headstone is sinking into the ground and just to find it you have to walk through basically mud and water... My sisters headstone is sinking in and you have to basically dig through grass to uncover it and that's how almost every one of the headstones are in the baby area and my great grandmothers I can never find just because it's sunken in also.. If I had the money my sister would be moved to Michigan memorial near my grandma along with my aunt because at least you never have to walk through soggy muddy grass there oh and at this hell hole called ferndale the so called road is almost impassable for a car to drive down.. Very disappointed in this place.

I don't want to be disrespectful to the deceased, but this place is a dump. I was visiting from out of state and wanted to go and see two of my friends that had passed away last year, tried calling the office so many times, to find out where my friends were located on the property., they never answered the phone. The office is this small little house with an ancient tractor sitting right beside it, how disgusting. The roadways in this place are unpaved and probably unsafe to be driven on. I can almost bet that the grave sites are not even marked so you would never be able to find your loved ones if you didn't know where they were located on this property. Honestly how can anybody bury there loved ones here. I deeply feel for the deceased that are buried in this cemetery God Bless them all..

Here is a photo of just part of a dirt road in the cemetery “ as I know of, it’s the only part” that they put down rock- or what ever this is and it’s hard to drive over because its so bumpy that a car/truck shakes badly and as you see in the photo, it’s been driven over a lot. I wonder what these morons will try next? Is this doing anything to help the flooding there? This is in the City of Riverview and they say that they can’t do anything about it. I wonder why? If a home owner would let their property go I bet the city would give them a fine. But wait, it’s a business and they pay tax!!!!

Both of my parents are there, First my dad, then my mom’s ashes are in her plot. I’m okay by that but almost most of the time it’s so hard to drive to where the graves are because of flooding and then to walk to them from the dirt road if you can call it that. It’s usually flooded and it’s always ankle deep before you are standing at the graves. I asked someone at city hall about who to file a complaint to and after getting a address I sent a letter and never did get a answer back so there is no one to complain to and when I was a kid, I seen my mother argue with someone there about something “ I don’t remember what it was about because I was 12-13 at the time” but I will not talk with the people there because I feel they will do the same thing. It’s just disturbing knowing that they don’t maintain the dirt roads and drainage system and through the years the grounds look worst not better. This place is out of the city’s rules because it’s a private cemetery.



Maybe the next thing they might do is abandon it all together, who knows? I'm just saying, that is.
