Dr. Augustine Hicks Lawrence, MD

I've having trouble rating because I really liked Dr. Lawrence. However, I would never recommend this place due to the rude ladies at the front desk and the ridiculously long wait times.

I've seen several doctors that could not figure out my pain. I was told Dr. Lawrence was amazing so I scheduled an app. Trying to schedule was a nightmare and looking back was a red flag. After being on hold 15 min, the receptionist told me I could not see him unless my previous doctor sent over a referral. I called my previous doctor and they said I could see whoever I wanted for a 2nd opinion without a referral and that there were no restrictions with my insurance. I called back and was on hold for 10 min and wasn't able to schedule a consult so I made an app for an annual exam just so I could see this Dr.

I waited a month for an app and showed up 30 minutes early. I sat in the waiting room and finally after waiting 45 min AFTER my appointment time I asked the front desk if it would be much longer and if it was always a wait like this. I was told that I needed to voice my concerns to the Dr because she didn't know anything and it wasn't her problem. I finally got called back and waited another 15 min before the nurse came in. I burst into tears and expressed my anger and frustration about the wait time. Donna was very compassionate and apologized. She also said Dr. Lawrence would be worth the wait.

When Dr. Lawrence came in, he immediately recognized symptoms that no one else had and began to make a plan for treatment. I decided to continue seeing him and scheduled another appointment the following week as he advised.

When I came in a week later, I had an appointment with Dr Lawrence at 3:20. I came a 2:40 and at 4:15 when I was still waiting, I told Donna I had to leave and for him to please call me. It's been 2 days and I have yet to hear from him. I called his office to follow up and was told that that's the risk you take when you see an on call Dr.

I had a really great experience here! I didn't have to wait too long to get an appointment. The waiting room is very warm and inviting. Dr. Bobba was so nice and listened to all my questions and concerns. I had to get some blood work done and they were also very good and quick! I will definitely keep going here. :)
