Overall

I love my apartment! The location is great, my commute into the city is easy with the ferry and rail close by. Neighbors are quiet and nice, too.

Samson management is the absolute worst to have managing your building. I'm typing this as my ceiling is falling on the floor, water is leaking from the ceilings/walls in every room in the house and the super tells me 'it will take time to fix the roof' and refuses to come look at the damage. Can't get anyone at Samson to call me back. DO NOT LIVE HERE. Building will probably collapse in the near future as quoted by the owner of Samson Management, David Kirshner.

I've been at my Upper West Side apartment for years and I continue to love it! Close to everything, so lucky to have gotten this place when I did. No complaints!

Samson Management has been wonderful! I normally don't subscribe to online reviews but I just feel like something should be said. I recently moved to Manhattan and had only a few days to find an apartment and get my stuff moved halfway across the country in less than two weeks. Samson was great about expediting all of the paperwork and finishing up a few little things in the apartment before I arrived. I have now been here for about two weeks and it is starting to feel like home. Thanks to everyone at Samson Manangement for making this a very easy transition.

My fiance and I have been very happy with Samson Management Corp. Though we have not had any major issues our calls were always responded to in a timely fashion, timely to me is 24 - 48 hours. Our last management company, not in NYC THANK GOD, would rarely call back and our apartment building was falling down around us. We have found Samson to be a breath of fresh air.

This management company is horrible. While I'm certain the company employs some Supers that are really good at their job, this review is not about a SUPER or one of their new higher end buildings--it's about a management company that does not return calls or follow up on any building related issues.

Our building in Long Beach has had a non-working elevator for weeks. We have many elderly tenants who have a hard time walking the stairs. The company sent one letter out before the elevator stopped worked that a new elevator would be ordered, but there was no timeline. If it's anything like the post Sandy repairs being done on our building it will be a very long time before the problem is fixed.

Stay away from these people...they are only in it for the money and couldn't care less about their tenants.

Samson Management has been great! My roommate and I just moved in. It is our first apartment and we are very excited. The apartment is really big and luckily it fit in our budget. We were SO lucky to have found this place.

A friend of mine recently relo...

A friend of mine recently relocated to the city. She had come to stay with me on a couple occasions and commented on how she enjoyed my apartment and the neighborhood, the Upper East Side. I suggested she look into any vacancies in my building. While we were researching this building and Samson I was shocked at some of the negative reviews. I have never had any problems. The super has always been very responsive. He’s a really nice guy. I really haven’t had much interaction with the Management Office so I can’t say either way with regards to them. I feel badly for the ones complaining, but just thought I needed to share my good experience. Oh, and now I have one more fabulous neighbor! Welcome to the building Jessie!

I have lived in my apartment f...

I have lived in my apartment for four years and have been happy with it. The staff is great and helpful. The times I have needed to submit a service request the maintenance crew was here in a day….three at most when I needed a new refrigerator.



My complaints are few, and really don’t have to do with Samson Management. My neighbors are very loud. Things have gotten better since I called the Management office to complain. They were very understanding and willing to help. Thank god…I think they probably prevented WWIII.

I am in my second apartment under Samson Management. I moved from the first one for commuting purposes when I changed jobs. I haven’t had any problems in either apartment. Both buildings were well kept, clean and quiet. I’m happy where I am. I cannot imagine what some of these reviewers are talking about, as it is the opposite of either of my experiences.

DON'T EVER GO ANYWHERE WITH THE NAME SAMSON MANAGEMENT CONNECTED TO IT..THEY ARE HORRIBLE. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR APARTMENT. I'VE BEEN LIVING IN THIS HELL HOLE SINCE 2010 AND I WANTED OUT THE 1ST WEEK I WAS HERE. NOT ONLY DO THEY HAVE ROACHES, WATER BUGS, AND MICE!! (EWWWWW) EVERYTHING ABOUT THE BUILDING IS CHEAP THE WALLS, THE FLOORS YOU NAME IT, ITS FALLING APART. MY WALLS ROTTED AND MOLDED FROM LEAKAGE THROUGH THE WALLS. THE CEILINGS AND WALLS ARE CHIPPING AND COMING DOWN. THE FLOORS ARE UNEVEN. I NEVER HAD A SMOKE DETECTOR SINCE I'VE MOVED IN TO TOP THAT I COULDN'T SIGN MY LEASE UNTIL I PAID $10 EXTRA FOR THE FIRE ALARM. EACH AND EVERY PERSON UNDER THIS MANAGEMENT ARE RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, ARROGANT, OBNOXIOUS, JUST THE WORST COMPANY I'VE EVER SEEN AND CAME IN COUNTER WITH. I WOULDN'T WISH THEIR SERVICE ON MY WORST ENEMY. I NOTIFIED THEM OF MY ISSUES CONSTANTLY THEY FINALLY CAME TO FIX MY MOLDY WALL AFTER I TOLD THEM I WILL BE REPORTING THEM TO THE DEPT OF BUILDINGS WHICH I DID. THEY WERE VERY DISPLEASED AS WELL. THEY RUSHED TO TURN OFF THE WATER IN THE ENTIRE BUILDING WHEN THEY WERE NOTIFIED THEY WOULD BE COMING FOR THE INSPECTION TO KNOCK OFF ONE ADDITIONAL PROBLEM. BARELY HAVE HOT WATER IN MY SHOWER. I SENT THEM A LETTER STATING I WILL BE TERMINATING MY LEASE AND THEY REFUSED TO LET ME LEAVE EVEN AFTER THE MANAGER CAME TO SEE ALL THE DAMAGES IN MY APARTMENT. I CANT STAND THEM AND I DON'T PLAN ON SPEAKING TO THEM PERSONALLY EVER AGAIN. THEY WILL SEE ME IN COURT!! (---- NEGATIVE A THOUSAND STARS)

I live at 650 Victory Blvd. In...

I live at 650 Victory Blvd. in Staten Island, New York. Since July, we have had maggots in the basement, an overabundance of huge roaches in the basement, the roof leaking, ceilings in residents apts. falling down, people getting stuck in the elevator, the elevator not working at least 4 times, an overabundance of water dripping in the elevator shaft every time it rains.....and since the cold weather came in, no heat or hot water...or too much heat, so that you can't breathe....as of the past 3 days, including today, no heat or hot water.......It's very cold in the apartment today......Finally, with all this said, I am pretty sure ( as with any proper landlord), Samson Management would always want their rent on time and if it was not, they would probably tag a late fee on to your rent.....When this lease up, I'm moving and a lot of the residents here are saying the same.........and by the way, I have a great job, my rent is always on time, if not early....and I never complain or cause commotion.....my apartment is always kept extremely clean....and I like to keep to myself and I like quiet ...so to those who say it's to slackers who don't pay their rent, don't have jobs, are not clean, or complain all the time....this is definitely is not the case here.....
