It seems this is the only option for fabrics unless you want to go way out on Capital. The customer service is inconsistent. The last time it was great, altho I did have to ASK for service. Sometimes it is terrible and many of the staff act like serving customers an inconvenient & they prefer to stand behind the register acting like they are only there for design consultations (the inside the beltline feeling you get). You feel like you have to apologize for getting samples. Management needs to EMPHASIS that is what the job is.
I just was there yesterday and wonder why I keep going back. The staff is so rufe. Found nothing and no one asked if I needed help. Glad to see I'm not the only one.
I was in there recently . The fabric selection is the most tasteful i've found.. The store was full of customers, but as I was admiring a fabric , a salesperson approached ME with scissors to cut a generous sample. She offered assistance several times (not in a pushy way.). No way anyone would mistake me for someone sophisticated! Prices are high, but these are high end fabrics, so reasonable.
I had to weigh in here. I had a great experience with Printers Alley. The staff was attentive and the lady that worked with me, Adair, was fabulous. She knows her stock and has a great design sense. I started only with a paint color and she helped me find the fabric for a fabulous room. She figured my yardages (including adjusting for repeats), and had the fabrics delivered to my front doorstep within days.
Another store that got great reviews for "being friendly" basically looked at my existing materials and told me "The blues and greens are over there". Not much help. There is something to be said for a great sense of style and a wealth of knowledge.
HORRIBLE PLACE! The Owners In Greensboro Are NOT Professional! The Selection Of Furniture Is Disgusting! They Advertise A Sale On Their Ruint Custom Upholstered Items And Are UnWilling To Allow Other Dealers Near Them To Cooperate! You Can NOT Imagine How BAD Your Experience Will Be! There are PLENTY OF Alternatives in Raleigh and nearby High Point Where You Will Find BETTER Fabrics at a LOWER Price. Don't Do Business With This CROOKED COMPANY!
