Westin

We stayed at Westin Portland several nights/days. The location is great, walking distance to several restaurants, coffee shops, & shopping. The room was very comfortable, had a great city view, bed was heavenly, loved the dual head shower in the bathroom, & surprisingly quiet even though its location is in downtown. Although there were some drawbacks such as no vending machine in the building, parking was a little expensive @ $30 a night, but we understood being that the hotel is in downtown...there is charge to use their computer in the business center, whereas other places it's complimentary.The staff acknowledged our presence each time, whether we were coming or going. They were VERY hospitable & ready to assist, whether it be with our luggage, directions, recommendations on where to eat & places to visit. However, small these things maybe they play a great role in customer service & having repeat customers.
