Dr. Lian Jen, DO, PA

Best Doctor I have ever been to or met & Highly Recommended to everyone! I have been seeing him for about 10 years and can say with no uncertainty that he is genuinely the nicest Doctor that I have ever seen, He always greets you with a smile and asks how you are and have been. He is kind, gentle, truly cares about his patients.

I've been seeing Dr Jen for about 6 years. And I know EXACTLY who the first reviewer from 2009 is referring to. That girl was fired a long time ago! She wasn't even there very long., she was fired with plenty of cause. The first reviewer must've visited the office when Zora was on vacation.

The nut job, whose name I don't remember, was really whacked out that week and acted like she was the boss. She also wore a different wig every day. It's really too bad you had this experience, because Dr Jen is really awesome. When we had no insurance, Dr Jen gave us a flat rate and stretched out the visits so we could save money. And his office DOES take debit and credit cards, I've used them both myself. And checks, too ;-). That whacko must've been trying to get cash for more of whatever she was taking. Dr Jen is great, his staff is great, "the band is back together", so to speak, and you will not be sorry if you become his patient. He's picky about who he takes, though- so if you expect to get lots of different drugs, like Xanax, Oxycodone, Methadone, whatever-don't bother making an appointment, because he's legit, and so are all his patients.

it has been a few years since I have been under Dr. Jens care, but I can attest to nothing but the utmost professionalism from his staff, and a sincere personal caring attitude from Dr. Jen. He is a total professional, and he takes a sincere interest in my overall well being. Dr. Jen is a rare example of a doctor who has not forgotten his oath, and puts care above profits.

i dont know whom this other person talked to there ,but ive been a patient of dr jens for a long time and ive never seen anything like this at all ,zora who is the office manager,at dr jens has always bent over backwards to see that im seen by the dr whenever i need to be seen by him .dr jen is a great man and listens to his patients unlike other dr.s ive been to he has always done whats in he best intrest of me ,i frankly dont like dr.s at all but he has shown me that dr.s are people to. as far as someone having a bad day were all human and sometimes we do ,as far as being unprofessional never.i will always use dr jen as my back specialist because i trust him/jason weddell

I was refered to Dr. Jen by Dr. Herkowitcz. I made the appointment myself and arrived 15 minutes early. The girl behind the desk told me I had paper work to fill out and proceeded to read all of the paper work to me. Usually you sit down and complete this task but I stood and listen to her begin. While I was listening her private cell phone was ringing non stop and she would answer it. Interupting her reading the paper work to me. I stood patiently waiting even though I was in some pain. She would then hang up her private cell phone use and continue where she left off and after 40 seconds of reading her private cell phone would ring again. This continued for 5 minutes. Towards the end of reading me the HIPPA instructions again her private cell phone started ringing , she answered like she did before and started talking. She became upset with who ever she was talking to and slammed the phone down and said "husbands". I didn't comment to this and was signing my paper work. She the told me I had a co pay. I told her that I didn't think one was due considering this was a test and Dr. Jen is not my primary Doctor. She told me it was due so I said "okay" and handed her my debit card. She then told me that we do not take debits or credit cards and that I was told that when I made the appointment. Before I could even say anything about going to an ATM (since I was early) she then said "oh no Dr Herkowitcz made this appointment. I said "no he didn't I did and no one told me that you didn't take debits or credit cards". She argued with me and told me that indeed I was told and that I was wrong. Then her private cell phone started ringing again. I again waited patiently when she told the person on the other line she would call them back. So she looks at me after getting off the phone and said "you have a attitude". To say I was shocked is a understatement. I said "excuse me". She told me I was rude and I had a "attitude problem". She then told me I started this little scene and just kept calling me rude with an attitude problem...insulting me non stop. I stood with my mouth open. I then and only then started arguing with her and told her "do not say I have an attitude problem and you need to stop telling me I am rude". She just kept repeating herself that I was rude and had a attitude problem. I told her "enough" lets re schedule the appointment. She then told me "No" and proceed to tell me she is the office manager and that she is not allowing me to see Dr. Jen. I then asked to speak with Dr Jen and asked if he was available. She told me "no". The only people in the office where me, her and another patient sitting and waiting. I left and was denied care by Dr. Jen because of a girl who had problem with her husband or was having a bad day. Obviously her cell phone calls are more important than her job or patient care. She then called Dr H and told them I yelled at her in front of a "room full of patients". Like I said it was me ,her and one patient. Dr. H office is great and appologized for her behavior. After speaking with Dr. H office it turns out she lied about what happened. That did not surprise me at all. So my advice is unless you want to be ignored or you want to listen to the "office manager" complain about her husband and then verbally assulted you then go and see Dr. Jen. I now am going to a Dr. Karbalosa in Punta Gorda 941-639-4933 and I was reassured that the office staff is professional, caring and patient care is number one . Thank You
