Overall
Good Store

I went in there today to get some ghost shrimp as feeders, and I would say the store is kept well. There was one section of feeder fish tanks which were not as clean as they should, but overall, the store is clean. No strange smells or anything. I just went in there to get feeders, so I was not paying too much attention.

Overall
Awful

I'll start with the store and the ONE good thing, the puppies are clean but it seems the new owners have sacrificed the rest of the store to sell puppies. ALL the fish tank are filled with yellowish water. Doesn't anybody know that it means those tanks need a water change? I haven't really rated the other animals because I don't know how to take care of reptiles or birds. Whenever I go into that store the new owner is sitting down on the computer while there is only one other employee in the store. One time I asked the owner if he would get me some ghost shrimps and he screamed for somebody else who was already with another customer and when the other guy finally came to the front and told the new owner he was with somebody else instead of getting off his backside he said it would only be a minute. That minute lasted about 20.

The absolute worst part of the whole store is the grooming. I was in there today and already had an appointment. Over the phone I asked if it was okay to leave my dog there until I got off work and the groomer said yes. I go in there today and they tell me that I have to be back in a hour to pick up my dog. I work. I can't drop my dog off at eight, go to work, and get off work an hour later to pick up my dog. So I ended up waiting there for my dog, getting a verbal lashing from my boss, and going to work late thanks to that lady. She also has the worst attitude, if you say one thing she doesn't like she'll blurt out outragous sarcastic things. Plus she charged me $40 for that hackjob she calls a grooming. My dog looks awful. He looks like his fur was cut with a chainsaw. IF you want your dog to look butchered for this is the place to get it groomed. I could go on all day.

When it comes to everything else but getting my dog groomed I've taken my business to pet owner's warehouse, after today I'll get my dog groomed at PetCo. At least at those places the atmosphere doesn't smell like the intestinal tract of a puppy.

Thank you for your honest opinion in this matter.....if i may reply to each of your points Firstly im very pleased you noticed just how clean the puppy area is now as we have spent alot of time and effort trying to get this right so that we can present extremely good quality and health puppies. As for the fish tanks we clean our tanks and do water changes on a regular bases and i have now employed a salt and fresh water specialist to look after this area and i must confess our corals look amazing .....come and see for yourself. Your comment about myself sitting down at the computor everytime you are in the store,i am unsure as to what time you come into the store and just how long you stay but my job starts at 7.30am and finishes at 7pm 6 days a week ,consists of not only cleaning the puppy poo at 7.30 in the morning and during the day,but also moping the floor, cleaning out the reptiles, removing the rubbish along with many other jobs even before we can open the store in the morning....once the store is open i have to run the business which includes placing orders ON THE COMPUTOR, pricing orders, stacking the new products on the shelves whilst dealing with many many customers customers ......i work about 70 hours a week so i think your comment of always sitting down when you come in is a little bit harsh. Come and spend the day with us and find out for yourself just really what goes. I think it will shock you just how hard we all work. As for the grooming we don't allow dogs to be cooped up in cages all day as this is totally unexceptable and can easily stress the dogs out. We ask the clients to collect the dogs as soon as possible after they have been groomed. I am sorry you were disappointed with the way your dog was groomed as we try and work very closely with all our clients in this area, even getting them to sign a form stating exactly what they want the groomers to do with their dog on that day. We are constantly trying to make improvement throughout the store on a daily bases and im pleased that you at least noticed one area. Once again i would welcome you to spend a day with us and sample exactly what we do. We take on board all of our clients comment whether they are good or bad as we continue to make improve within the store. regards Andy Brooks Owner

The new owner does not allow people to handle any of the puppies without sanitizing your hands first they have also got protective glass up and the puppies looked very very healthy.............. even my vet commented on how healthy our new puppy was and he is happy someone like these people have now taken over Great Job!!!!!!!

Overall
Terrible Pet Store

This pet supply store is absolutely terrible. As soon as you walk into the store, it is hard to breathe because the smell of the store is so bad. Their fish tanks are always cloudy and they have lousy prices on their fish. I have purchased two fish from this store, and within days they were both dead. Also, when you ask to purchase 30 feeder goldfish, they will give you about 15-20 if you're lucky. The puppies they sell are sitting in their own filth due to the employees not taking care of them. Their rabbits and guinea pigs smell of urine as well. This pet store, overall, is a joke. It's just a combination of the horrible smell of the store, the terrible care of the pets, and how you pretty much get ripped off when you purchase items there. I would definitely not recommend shopping there for pet supplies or animals. Try the well-known pet stores such as PetSmart or Pet Supermarket. They are cleaner and most of all, they are professional.
