I wish I could give this place a -10. Hopefully my review will help others to avoid this groomer. About one year ago I brought my 14-week-old female standard poodle for her first grooming with Charlotte. I spoke w/ her by phone to arrange appointment, thoroughly explaining I was looking for a long-term groomer relationship for my SP. I had her for 5 weeks - this was her 1st grooming besides the few sessions w/ breeder. I dropped off puppy & returned at designated time. Upon walking in Charlotte anounced, "I don't know what's wrong w/ your dog but she's hiding under my desk & won't come out." BIG RED FLAG. I personally retrieved my puppy. Charlotte then proceeded to tell me that there was something wrong w/ my puppy's fur and asked if I was sure she was a purebred poodle because "the fur on her legs is shorter than her body." What?! And that my puppy had a personality issue which if I left uncorrected would result in a very challenging dog. She complained that puppy was uncooperative for the grooming (Did she think the pup was a full-grown mini-poodle as she certainly had no puppy-skills what-so-ever & expected show dog behavior 1st time on table?!) She then proceeded to show me how to snap my dog around w/ a choke collar - mind you we are talking about a 3 month old puppy here - and like a total idiot I listened to her, my bad on that day! I don't even want to *think* about how she treated my baby dog during the groom after all the nasty things she said and how horrible she esteemed her behavior. No wonder puppy hid from her (smart poodle! One and only time I've ever seen her express fear!!) Charlotte also told me she does not give or provide at all any dog treats b/c dogs should obey out of love and respect for their owner. Umm, ok. I did spend a terrified night thinking I had all these problems on my hands, but thank God I came to my senses the morning after and threw out the chain she sold me and rid my brain of all her garbage info. And thank God I have a phenomenal poodle w/ wonderful genes (yes, I overdid my homework and then some!) who recovered without incident from the experience. She is now about 14 months and is just such a lovely girl - never even gave us any puppy attitude issues - Charlotte was so very mistaken. We struck gold w/ our next choice of groomer - she loves him and he adores her, of course I was so concerned that she would 'trouble' him but he tells me every 6 weeks how well-behaved and sweet she is. I've watched him groom her - he treats her so sweetly which she responds well to. So there's a happy ending to the story but honestly I'm just hoping to save someone else the heartache I went through.

Our Bichon Sparky has been a client of Charlotte's for 8 years. The salon is very professional, extremely clean and easy to schedule with. Charlotte does a superior job on his grooming and provides added services such as teeth cleaning and flea and tick prevention. I would highly recommend her services.

We rescued our dog and he was very uptight about grooming when he was young. The owner was firm and patient with him so that eventually he settled down for groomings.

At times, the owner has noticed things about our dog and even offered input and flagged when it was time to see the vet. She is interested in more than the appearance of the animal but also the overall health of the animal.

She will care for teeth, nails, coat and grooms more than dogs.

We would not go anywhere else! We have been bringing our dog ever since we got her 10 years ago. We first brought her to someone else in town. I had haircut appointment for myself that same day, and when I told my hairdresser where we went, she said to go right back and get the dog and bring her to Rags to Riches, which is what we did. Our dog always comes out looking and smelling wonderful!
