ZH has the best vietnamese food I have ever had.



the pros



1. We almost always get the fried spring rolls (filled with crab and veggies, they are so flavorful), vermicelli beef bowl with spring rolls (such a great balance of sweet, spicy, savory, and fresh (the lime and mint help with the freshness)), and chicken fried rice. Their rice is so subtle in flavor, but is incredibly good. Last time we went I had the clam fried rice, which isnt on their menu (you have to ask for it). I was warned, and it is very spicy, but it is so good and different than any other fried rice I have ever had.



2. I think the service is very good. We have been coming for so long that they know what we order every time. The service is sometimes a little slow, but they are very friendly. The love to recommend new dishes for you to try.



3. Their amuse bouche. The weird thing is that you dont consistenly get amuses. During the spring and summer, it is normally a very simple lettuce with thin carrot slices and a nice vinaigrette. The fall and winter amuse is usually a very spicy and flavorable soup, which is loaded with bean sprouts and tofu. I usually do not like the texture of tofu, but this soup is so hot that the tofu is this little silky cube of goodness. I love this soup!



the cons



1. The space is huge and open, and is rarely crowded. Thats good, in that you can get right it. Its bad for atmosphere, though. If this was a small, intimate place, I would like it more.



2. They are closed on Tuesdays. Kinda weird. I have forgotten more than once and have driven from NW Frisco, which kinda sucks. My fault though.
