General Info: Dr. Mark Tanker was born and raised in Atlantic City and Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He completed his undergraduate education at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and earned his medical degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completing a residency in Internal Medicine at Mercy Catholic Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident, he moved to Cleveland, Ohio to continue his training as a Fellow in Gastroenterology at the Cleveland Clinic Educational Foundation and Cleveland Clinic Hospital. At the conclusion of his Fellowship in 1982, he returned to Philadelphia to begin his Gastroenterology practice.
