I have been coming to this salon since I was in high school and I don't trust anyone else to do my hair, but Nyesha. She is a very talented stylist who knows how to connect to her clients at all levels.

I've been going to this salon for three years. I was always insecure about my natural hair but I had a coworker that had services from the salon and she said nothing but nice things . So one day I decided to call and make an appointment I asked for the first available and the receptionist (Malika) gave me an appt with Jasmine when I arrived I was greeted by the entire staff Jasmine came over and did a consultation with me I filled out a form and the shampoo girl came and directed me back to the bowel she washed my hair like no other lol Jasmine then asked me how I wanted it I told her my forehead is huge lol and I'd like to kind of hide it when she turned me around I could've cried like seriously I never thought I'd ever like myself with my natural hair but Jasmine she bought that beauty alive and I've been a loyal customer since I refuse to let another stylist touch my hair she knows what I want when I walk in the door ! Always professional & care about my plans for the day so she gets me in and out ! Love Illuminations , their family !

I am sooo glad I found this salon and Nyesha! She truly cares about her clients and the health of their hair. Not like most other sytlists Nyesha "listens" to what her clients want and she always strives to exceed your expectations. She will work with you until you are completely satisfied. She is also very professional and accommodating. Not to mention Nyesha is also very sweet! I transitioned from perm to natural hair and I looove the health of my hair as well as my styles and color!!! I used to go to a salon where I had to come home and redo my hair...but with Nyesha I can go right out straight from the chair!! I also love the atmosphere of the shop!! And Jazzmine does great hair and colors as well!!! Both the products and service are DA BOMB!! If you need a change and strive for excellence....check out Illuminations!!!!! :-)

I absolutely love Illuminations, my hair is healthy and I get numerous complements. These ladies are experts in their field and they care about hair care and not just the look. They are definitely 1st class. I recommend everyone to go check them out you wont be disappointed.

I've been a client of Illumination Hair Salon for 15+ years. This salon offers great service, professional atmosphere and knowledgeable stylists. I have healthy shiny hair as a result of the hair care that I receive. Not only is Nyesha, The Owner, one of the best in the hair care business, Jasmine is excellent as well. I would trust either with my hair and would be confident recommending family and friends.

HOW YOU GOIN GO UP ON THE PRICES WHEN U HAVE YOUR CLIENTS WASHED IN ICE COLD WATER, AND THEN YOU HAVE YOUR ASSISSTANTS WORKING WITH THIER COATS ON CUZ ITS FREEZING IN THERE. THE OWNER WAS MY STYLIST AND SHE LESFT ME IN HER CHAIR FOR 2 HOURS BEFORE SHE CURLED MY HAIR, AND I FOUND OUT SHE WAS TALKIN TO HER HUSBAND FOR THE WHOLE 2 HOURS. WHATEVER THEY WERE TALKIN ABOUT COULD HAVE WAITED TIL SHE GOT HOME. I REFUSE TO EVER STEP FOOT I THAT SALON AGAIN.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THE BAD EXPERIENCE THAT YOU HAD AT ILLUMINATIONS HAIR SALON. I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER OF ILLUMINATIONS FOR 2 YEARS AND QUIET FRANKLY I LUV GOING THEIR. TO ME IT IS NOT THAT BAD AS FAR AS THE WAIT. I AM USED TO WAITING FOR EVERYTHING NOW THAT WE ARE IN A NEW MELLINIUM WHERE EVERYTHING IS A WAITING PROCESS. THE PROBLEM WITH PEOPLE OF TODAY IS THAT THIS NEW TECHNOLOGY MAKES PEOPLE FEEL THAT A HUMAN IS A ROBOT AND THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO MOVE AT THE FASTEST PACE. I CAN'T DEFEND THE RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL MANNER THAT THE STYLIST AND THE ASSISTANCE PRESENTED OF THEMSELVES. THE ONE THING THAT I CAN SAY IS THAT I ENJOY GOING TO ILLUMINATIONS TO GET MY HAIR DONE. MY HAIR LOOKS BEAUTIFUL AND IT ALWAYS HAS A SHINE WHEN I LEAVE. I ALWAYS GET COMPLIMENTS AND I RECOMMEND THIS SALON WHEREVER I GO. I HAVE NEVER HAD A STYLIST OR AN ASSISTANT TREAT ME IN A RUDE OR UNPROFESSIONAL MANNER SINCE I HAVE BEEN GOING THEIR. I AM SORRY THAT ALL OF YOU HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE. I ADVISE THAT YOU GIVE ILLUMINATIONS A CALL AND ASK TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER AND TELL HER YOUR EXPERIENCE. SHE IS A VERY GOOD LISTENER AND I KNOW SHE WOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE YOUR NEXT EXPERIENCE TO ILLUMINATIONS BETTER THAN THE FIRST. GIVE THEM A SECOND CHANCE EVERYONE DESERVES ONE. WE AS FELLOW AMERICANS NEED TO HAVE MORE COMMUNICATION WITH ONE ANOTHER TO MAKE THIS WORLD A BETTER PLACE. THIS IS WHAT OBAMA THE PRESIDENT ELECT IS STRIVING FOR CHANGE. SO TAKE MY ADVICE BY TALKNG TO THE MANAGER AND YOU WILL SEE A CHANGE THE NEXT TIME YOU GO THEIR.

i went to this salon and the water was ice cold and they didnt even tell me when i walk in the door mind you i was waiting for my stylist the onwer for 4 long long long hours just to get an wash and curl i came around 5:30 and i could not believe tihs salon did not have any hot water. i will not go again untill they get hot water an i will ask over the phone.

This salon sucks, the sylist are ghetto and very unprofessional. I fell bad for the owner. They also are completely unaware of the purpose of a clock. They disregard appointment times and leave you waiting their for hours to get your hair done. Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I also had a horrible experience. I was a firt-time customer and my appointment was on a Sunday for 12pm and their were 2 clients ahead of me and my stylist didn't show up at the salon until 12pm. Anyways the Shampoo girl washed my hair and blow dried it. After waiting for my Stylist to finish the 2 clients ahead of me, she came to me and asked what I was having done. She looked through my hair, told me it was too short for her to do. Now mind you, my hair is at my ears in a bob-cut. Imagine the embarrassment of you stylist telling you, she couldn't do your hair because it was too short when your hair isn't even short (I have enough to make a ponytail) and you already waited 1 and a half hours to see her. This salon is shabby and unprofessional. If you have time to waste then go right ahead. They do awesome hair, but you have to go through hell to get it done. Personally I think the stylist are also snotty and rude.

If you have alot of time to waste then this is the place for you. My appointment was at 6pm and I didn't sit in the stylist chair until 9pm. I waited for 3 hours and granted my hair did look nice but it was not worth a 3 hour wait. I wanted to leave but they made me pay before I received service, so I was stuck there for 3 hours and it only took her 20 minutes to do my hair. Also the shampoo girl Ebony was ghetto and rude. Please don't waste your time.
