Our vascular lab features advanced venous and arterial ultrasound imaging technology. Our skilled ultrasonographers assist with the diagnosis and treatment of many different vascular conditions. We also provide vein mapping ultrasounds to evaluate vein adequacies for creating fistulas and grafts.

Here at Sonoran Vein and Endovascular we perform both physical and diagnostic screenings for carotid disease, as well as, continued surveillance of existing disease. Accredited by the American College of Radiology, we provide non-invasive in-office diagnostic testing by a certified vascular technician utilizing state of the art equipment. Diagnostic testing is performed at both our Scottsdale and Peoria office locations which serve all patients within the Valley, from Phoenix, Glendale, Surprise, Paradise Valley, Tempe, Mesa and Chandler.

Dr. Nye is native to the Phoenix area and completed his undergraduate degree at Arizona State University. He then earned his medical degree from Midwestern University. Dr. Nye is board-certified in both general surgery and vascular surgery, having accomplished his General Surgery Residency in Massachusetts, and a Vascular Surgery Fellowship in Buffalo, New York. He speaks fluent Spanish after spending two years as a missionary in Bolivia.

At Sonoran Vein and Endovascular we know that coping with non-healing wounds can be both frustrating and time consuming. A chronic wound or ulcer that does not heal within four weeksâ€™ time frame, despite adequate management, may require advanced care with our outpatient program. The wound care specialist at Sonoran focus on using patient evaluations to determine the treatment that will be most effective for you and your condition. Saving patients from unnecessary or avoidable lower limb amputations is our mission! Services offered include testing, treatments, and follow-up care for patients with limb-threatening conditions such as diabetic foot ulcers, advanced peripheral vascular disease, acute infections, and deformities. Amputations related to the complications of peripheral vascular disease, or diabetes mellitus, are the most common cause of lower-extremity amputations. Approximately 50,000-60,000 major lower-extremity amputations are performed each year in the U.S. because of diabetes-related complications.
