When She was in elementary school, my Wife had a traumatic dental experience as 4 nurses held her down without sedation, and without painkillers and bore down into her tooth with impact-hammer-sized drill until she passed out from pain (and then continued on with the procedure). Hence, the flashbacks and trauma just as She was about to undergo a root canal on the very same tooth. Enter Patrick Fitzgerald D.D.S : He was very warm, receptive and confident as he explained the procedure. He let me stay with my Wife during the whole procedure, while my Wife was tearing up from fear - it was recommended that She be administered a laughing gas by her general dentist - but indeed just as Patrick said, he wields techniques you've never heard of before, and with 15,001 root canals behind his belt - no laughing gas was needed. Once local anesthetic was applied, the most painful part was already behind - Arguably, that was the ONLY "painful experience" as my Wife did not even feel that one. That is right: the dreaded root canal, and Dr. Fitzgerald did not let my Wife experience any pain at any time during the procedure! Entire endodontic surgery took, I kid you not, maybe 30 minutes - it was entirely painless, and watching Dr. Patrick and his dental assistant Justyna work in total synchronization, harmony and with such mastery of the dental art, that it was hypnotizing to watch (okay, first minutes were uncomfortable to watch as would be to any non-dentist but after that...). They are both apparently very highly experienced, and I dare to say that they have perfected the *art*. Why art you say? Every move was precise and quick, throughout the entire procedure I did not see as much as half a second of stagger, not an iota of uncertainty - only pure, unrestrained mastery. Just when we would think that the procedure would only take off, it was already done - If I have not seen the post-surgery X-Ray I would not have believed that it was completed so shortly. As Patrick raised the seat and announced that the root canal procedure is complete, to my Wife's surprise and mine, I gave Dr. Fitzgerald and Justyna a round of applause (something foreign for me to do) in turn, to their surprise :)So to any seekers of endodontics or doubters - you are indeed safe with Dr. Patrick Fitzgerald, you will not experience any pain, it will be over before you will know any better and he's got your back 200% of the time. Every penny was worth the procedure, and I can't thank their team enough - as even I felt deeply inspired by their outstanding professionalism - yeah, if you want to experience the definition of professionalism, you by now know where to find it. First of all, the dental office is very modern, clean, and equipment seems all up to date. Friendly staff especially dental assistant and Dr. Pollina. Dr. Pollina worked quickly and efficently. Procedure was about an hour I think.....a break in between. The assistant was very nice and wiped my tears....my eyes just water a lot when I'm nervous. Dr. Pollina called me the same night to see how I was recovering. I thought that was a very nice personal and professional touch added by Dr. Pollina himself. Thank-you and re will be sure to have my two thumbs up referral. Excellent medicine. Thank-you!
