Dr. Sharon E Edwards, OD

Dr. Edwards is a great doctor. I've been going to her for several years, and have always been very satisfied. The front office is also very friendly and helpful, and the staff who fit the glasses are great. If I ever have an issue with my glasses between yearly exams, they go out of their way to help me.

I grew up in a small town and chose First Eye Care because I expected a more personable experience than going to a 'big box' optometrist where they get you in and out as soon as possible to maximize their profits. Only four trips to First Eye Care convinced me that I should seek another office. The front office staff always seemed disinterested in their jobs, on cell phones or gossiping with one another. I have no problem with office banter as I've been in and out of this type of environment throughout my working life, but the apathy towards the customers was unwavering. After checking in at the front office, the technician in charge of taking vital information (I would give a name if she bothered to introduce herself) acted as if she were doing me a favor to be in the room with her and continued the apathetic feel of the office. I would like to note that my optometrist, Dr. Edwards, was always personable and was able to help me with a problem that I had been battling with for years. It is a shame her staff has turned me away from her place of business.
