General Info

Located in Concord Township, Ohio, Lake Metroparks has been operational for more than 55 years. Spread on more than 5,000 acre of land, the park district consists of over 55 parks, facilities and properties. It oversees the maintenance of several wild and scenic rivers, tributaries, watersheds, open spaces, an agricultural theme park, cross-country ski, nature, education and wildlife rehabilitation center, golf courses, paved bike and hiking trails, and Lake Erie s shoreline. Lake Metroparks organizes various programs and events, such as Corn Maze at Farmpark, reflections from nature, art shows, farmers market, Halloween hayrides, breakfast with the great pumpkin, magical whooloween candy, wonder land at woodland halle days, and country lights. The district provides a wide variety of outdoor activities, such as biking, hiking, boating, fishing, geocaching, swimming, volleyball, softball, dancing, snowshoeing, sledding, and ice skating. Additionally, its special programs include adapted recreation, aging actively, day camps, scout and education programs, and recreation outreach adventures.
