Payless Car Rental

Horrible, avoid at all cost. My rental was $104.24 when I booked. At the end it was $318. Waited 55 minutes in line. Unfriendly, rude people. Never again.

Avoid! Avoid! - They basically used fine print to steal our money. It's like a DMV owned and operated by convicts. - It is more complicated and more conniving than just fine print but I don't want to tell the whole story. They tried to pull a different scam on a really nice guy in line in front of us who ended up walking out after a screaming match. We had to share the shuttle, which took forever, all the way back to the airport to find another rental. The place managed to keep our hundred bucks because we didn't report to American Express within the 60 days it takes to file an investigation. In addition to being thieves they were also apathetic and rude. - It also takes a long time to even get to the place because the shuttle only runs every 45 minutes or so.

They overcharged for insurance that was needed. Did not credit gas that was left in tank and charged a toll fee 2 monthes later

1. On January 11th I arrived at Payless car rental. I got greeted by the Manager Hussien?? he was very rude. He stated that I had to have the insurance that payless provides or I could not take the car. Which was a lie. I want a refund on this. I had coverage on my own personal insurance.



2. He gave me an option not to fill up gas and they do it when I brought car back for return. At that point they would only charge what was used and a refund would be submitted. This never happened. I called several times and was left on hold.



3. 3/31/14 - I received a charge on my debit card or $15.75. When I called this 3rd party toll place. They stated I went through a toll. Which is a lie. They said they have it photographed. I asked for copy and they would not provide.

Horrible High Pressure Experience



As someone who has rented all over the world & has never been subjected to such high pressure selling for insurance I already have--STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS

Got a confirmation for unlimited miles and it said on the printout unlimited but when we get there they say 100 mi a day

Watch out! What you see is not necessary what you get. Payless (actually pay more) will make YOU personally responsible for any car damage due to accident even though the rental car is insured by your own insurance company. Either you sign a waiver to take full personal responsibility for any damage with $350 deposit or you can add $89 to your original price for a basic protection (I don't even know what is covered). So don't be fooled by the low, low Payless price!

What a rip off. The car reserved was not available. They tried to upgrade me at my cost. I saw this happen over and oer again as I sat in the waiting room for a while, waiting on another rental company to pick me up. I refused to be another customer to fall for their bait and switch scheme. They were also rude! I do not reccommend!!!
