Pep Boys

This Michigander loved her experience at the Pep Boys of Orange Beach. Felt some vibration on the 15hour ride down, stopped in and they took care of it within an hour. Their true southern hospitality turned this Michigan State fan into a Bama fan in one morning! Great service! Would definitely recommend....Go Roll Tide!!!

Wasted my time. Used both off days to try and get my car serviced. Both times I was told it would just be a couple of hours. Kept my car from 9am till 10 min from closing. Apparently had just started to look at it ...told me they need to spend some time looking. Brought it back next off day and again told it would probaly be a couple of hours. Dropped it off at 9.20am and at 4.30 called to check and again had my car all day and had done NOTHING. Was going to be a new customer for them, but obviously they dont need any new customers.

My wife and her friends were leaving Orange Beach on a Sunday morning and stopped in to have them investigate a loud screeching noise. The Sunday manager told her she needed a rotor, caliper and pads $600.00. After my friend looked into it and saw no damage she had them put it back together. At that point the Sunday manager put a small rock on the counter and said "that's your problem" the rock was rubbing against the disk making a screeching noise. After returning home my friend took the car to a certified mechanic that told her there was no damage at all. This guy was trying to sell her on service that wasn't needed. Her brakes had been replaced about 3 months prior to this trip and she had only driven about 5 miles after hearing the screeching sound. I intend to call the Better Business Bureau and report this. Until Pep Boys deals with this Sunday Manager I would advise you to avoid this place.

We are on vacation, and our van was repaired the SAME DAY at a price much cheaper than I was expecting. We had a flashing check engine light and an engine that was "missing" and causing the van to shake and lose a lot of power. It turns out that all it needed was a tune up with new plugs, and 1 spark plug coil. William, the manager, went over and beyond my expectations. He called me to keep me updated, and he came through when he said he would. I was scared of getting ripped off here at the beach, but I couldn't be happier with the result. I would recommend this Pep Boys to anyone.
