Walked in and the place smelt Burnt. Do not get Beignet's here, they were burnt and had a gross after taste.
Horrible. I don't want my money back, I want the 15 minutes of my life that I wasted in this place back. The food was ok at best, nothing like the real deal, but what you would expect from a strip mall whole-in-the-wall. What you don't expect is rude, belittling comments from the help. Started from the moment I walked in, had the audacity to make some snide, childish remark about how I parked. I should have turned around, got into my parked car, and went to a competitor, but I didn't. Not just the waitress (who looked like she was nursing a hang-over), but the owner (or manager) continued with the immature, condescending, insultuous banter-not just to me, but to the other customers too. While the waitress was outside ignoring us, and smoking a cigarette, the owner was belittling her too. The next set of customers that came in, the owner threw vail, sarcastic remarks their way. When the waitress came back in from her smoke break, she went right back to serving food without washing her hands. I've never been treated so rudely in a restaurant in my life, and likewise, I've never left without leaving a tip either, until then. What scares me the most, is that if they're this pitiful right in front of the customers (which they seem to hate), what goes on "out of site" in the kitchen? I can't imagine how many people they've chased away, but judging by the other bad reviews they've gotten, I can't imagine them keeping the doors open much longer. Blows me away how someone can hate working with the public as these people obviously do, and yet they keep doing it day after day. There's an old saying that "if you love your job, you'll never work a day in your life", then these folks must be some kind of exhausted at the end of their shift. 'What I would, and have told my friends about this place???? "go spend your money somewhere else where it's actually appreciated." But if you want your intelligence insulted and belittled by rude and immature employees at a fry-shop, then you'll love this place.
