My first time ever going to the Juke Joint Bar and Grill in Las Vegas was early this morning, Saturday, August 16, 2014. I was very disgusted and left with a little hurt and anger in my heart due to the service received at the front door. A friend that lives nearby told me to meet them there to see if they were still serving food. I drove all the way from Summerlin mind you. We got there shortly before 5am this morning. My friend has been to this bar and grill before, it is open 24 hours. As we approached the establishment there were African American ppl standing at front door and others walking away. We got to the door to enter and a bald heavier set white man (dressed in security from my view) "cracked" the door open and told us the establishment was closed. He also told the same thing to the ppl walking behind us, as well as ppl that were standing in front. Everyone was African American just to confirm the setting. The environment on the outside of bar was very calm and posed no reason to deny service or tell this group of ppl your establishment was closed. There was lively music playing in the background, but the security was purposely blocking the view into the bar by only cracking the door open. There was also enough cars in establishment parking lot to indicate they were not closed. Also the building lights, signs on outside indicated they were not closed as well. Why would you open the door and leave door unlocked if you were closed? Just turn the lights out and put up ur "CLOSED" sign.

I'm not sure if this bar is only open to select public, and I wasn't aware this was a "members only" bar and grill. What took place by the security at that front door was very unprofessional, hurtful and personally I feel it was racist. I even goggled the establishment in the parking lot because I was in such disbelief that we were being treated like this by an "open to the public" 24 hour establishment in the year 2014. I will never come to the Juke Joint again, and I will tell everyone I know and don't know about this horrible experience. Spearmint Rhino gladly took our money with no problems and treated us like every other human being that walked up to their Establishment.

I will also be doing more research on this establishment so that I can write a letter to the owner, Better Business Bureau and a few other entities that may need to investigate this matter. they have great food. good drink choices and the food is way affordable

Cheap food, bartenders awesome and karaoke alot of fun!

I recently had the opportunity to go in here. On first impression...laid and back and casual cool. But it stops there! Most of the bar staff is unfriendly to the point you feel like your bothering them to have them to do their job! The owners (evil eyes watching All the time) have made the machines so tight, but if you win-they'll look and stare at you to let you and let you know you are NO longer welcome. The manager Tom won't leave you alone and actually stands next to you and smokes! (We don't) Usually you leave a bar feeling the customer service lacked-I left here feeling bad about myself even being there! When I need to be abused I'll come back here, otherwise to relax, have fun and just be....I'll go ANYWHERE else!
