Provided by SuperpagesMy Basset hound got amazing care. I highly recommend VECC. They are there day and night and are always willing to answer concerns on the phone. The staff and vets are outstanding...skilled and compassionate. Peg Schweizer Portsmouth, NH

Provided by SuperpagesI can't articulate enough how fantastic this place is. I hate that this company has bought up every vet clinic in the country and wanted to boycott them but when we first moved here I asked around everyone we know said go to the VCA and said excellent things. This month, Buddha was lethargic and struggling in his litter box. We took him here and Dr. Bouras immediately diagnosed a urinary blockage. He was admitted for three days/nights and returned home. Upon his return his condition didn't improve. We brought him back and they informed us that his bladder muscles had lost elasticity as a result of the blockage. Again, 3 days and nights. Yes, it was expensive but they solved the problem. Also, they didnt charge for switching out his catheter (hes got a small urethra hed kill me if he knew I put this up on the net) or his two follow-up appointments. It's been two weeks and he's back to his whiny, silly, purring self. We couldn't be happier. The most impressive thing about the VCA was that the care was seamless. Granted he was the only cat back there, but I didnt have to explain and re-explain the deal every time I went in there. They knew what was going on, no matter who I spoke with. The doctors, tech, staff where all excellent. I love this place!!!

Provided by SuperpagesThis place is the best. My dog had been suffering for a few weeks of non weight bearing on his leg. He was on medications for the pain but got no better. I called the hospital and they went over my options on the phone. As I told the reception desk that I needed to bring my dog in but had very little funding she explained many options to me in detail. As I have been out of work for the past 6 months and could not afford much for my friend but wanted to give him some comfort from his pain. When I brought my best Buddy as we called him in the Doctor took one look at his leg and told me the sad news that he had cancer. The staff was very nice through the procedure of the choice I made of having my dear pal euthanized.

Provided by SuperpagesThe entire staff was professional and took the time to check out my dog when I brought him in. I thought they were great and they were reasonably priced. We are very fortunate to have a facility like this in the Seacoast

Provided by SuperpagesOur 15 year old boxer Daisy's life was saved by the doctors and technicians at the EVC. We were in on a Sunday and the office was extremely busy- Daisy was immediately checked by a technician to make sure she was "stable" enough to wait for a doctor's care because there were many other emergencies there as well. After she was examined by a doctor we were given an estimate for overnight care that way we knew up front what we were getting into. We were given the option to transfer to her to her regular vet in the morning to save money. The next day when we picked her up, the doctor personally went over how she did overnight and what we might like to go over doing with her at her regular vet for the next day. She answered all of our questions with a smile. We were very please with how much attention she got and the fantastic care she was given during her stay. Although we hope none of our animals need to visit the EVC again, we will bring them there with confidence and gratitude.

Provided by SuperpagesI have been sent there about six times by my vet after hours. I ended up with a 1500.00 bill for NOTHING wrong other than minor issue last time. At times it has been cost prohibitive. The brunette vet has no bedside manner. If you can't fork over 1/3 to 1/2 the cost before hand, you can't get any treatment (that has consistently been my experience.) They used to be nicer, but in 2007 they changed. This place is going to cost you for the afterhours help but WHY so MUCH? . Also, the attitude is surly. My pet wouldn't have received treatment if I didn't have a good credit line on visa (don't assume this will be the case with you, ask if they have payment plans or something). All about the $$$$$$$. I am sure they are good for life or death situations, don't expect it to be CHEAP for anything else. If your pet is sick, just know to bring your VISA.

Provided by SuperpagesWe were please with the staff and how they all handled us and our bunny in out emergency. Bunnies are considered exotic pets and not very many vets are bunny savvy, Dr. Anderson was. She was also very patient with us; it was very late and we were very panicked.
