General Info

Artemis Records, located in New York City, is a privately held, independent record label, launched in 1999. The label is supported by large music groups and individual recording artists, including Steve Earle, Sugarcult and Black Label Society that features guitarist Zakk Wylde. It is also supported by music groups and artists, such as Better Than Ezra, Little Barrie, Jaguar Wright, Ruff Ryders, Pretenders, and Warren Zevon. Artemis has various recording artists who have received Grammy Awards, including Steve Earle and Warren Zevon. Other recording artists nominated for the awards include Susan Tedeschi, Jimmy Cliff, Rickie Lee Jones and Al Franken. Its artists have also scored several platinum and gold albums. Artemis has a catalogue of Vanguard Classics, and has launched Artemis Classics, Tone-Cool Records and Triloka Records.
