Myers of Keswick, a small shop that carries a large stock of British comestibles, will delight Anglophiles and homesick Brits who have difficulty finding their favorite foods in the U.S. Whenever I'm in New York I make a special effort to stop by Hudson Street to pick up British teas and cookies. Myers carries a large stock of British foods that are difficult, if not impossible, to find in the United States. Many Americans, like myself, will have to ask for a description of Black Pudding, Cornish pasties, Bangers (a type of sausage), Scotch eggs and other items with quirky names. Also available is a huge stock of cheeses, meats, canned goods, soups, jams, marmalade and sweets. It is a treat to look at all the unfamiliar items as well as to try them.
