X-rays
No, our equipment is state of the art and minimizes patient exposure. We use the most advanced digital X-ray technique. The office follows ADA guidelines as to the frequency of radiographs. X-rays are never automatically taken, the decision is based upon clinical experience. All our units have filters and we use the fastest film speed possible. Additionally, you will be covered with a lead apron decreasing your exposure to negligible levels.

Teeth Cleaning
Regular cleanings help keep teeth clean and healthy through thorough exams provided by a certified dental hygienist. A dental cleaning includes removal of tartar and plaque, which can buildup and cause inflammation and disease if left untreated. The teeth are also polished during a cleaning to remove stains and further buildups of plaque that may not be removed during regular tooth brushing.

Dental Sealants
Dental sealants are thin, plastic coatings that are applied to the surface of the tooth to protect the grooves of the teeth from decay and other diseases. Decay often begins in these grooves because they are hard to clean and susceptible to a buildup of plaque. Sealants create a smooth surface that fills deep grooves and makes the tooth easier to clean.

Fillings
Resin Composite
These new substances have a white hue and can be made from several different origins such as composite resin, glass ionomer cement (GIC), and porcelain ceramics. These materials are very resilient and long lasting in addition to their visual advantages, but can become discolored over time. Just like metal fillings, these can be set and cured within one visit to the dentist, although they may take a little bit longer.
Veneers
Porcelain veneers are very thin, tooth-colored shells of ceramic that are custom-fit and bonded to the front of the teeth. They can give a bright, white, even, and attractive smile. Root Canal Treatment
Endodontics is a dental specialty that involves treatment of the inside of the tooth, known as the dental pulp, which contains blood vessels, nerves and connective tissue to help form the outside of the tooth. These procedures are often needed when the pulp of the tooth becomes infected or inflamed, usually as a result of decay, repeated dental procedures or a crack or chip in the tooth that can lead to infection. Patients with these conditions may experience pain, sensitivity, tenderness and discoloration, as well as the development of an abscess.
Apicoectomy
Root end resection, apicoectomy involves the removal of infected tissue and the end of the root. This procedure is most commonly performed after an unsuccessful root canal procedure. A filling is needed after the procedure to restore the appearance of the tooth and prevent further damage.

Dentures
Dentures are prosthetic devices designed to help patients with missing teeth, perform daily activities that would otherwise be difficult. Patients who have lost their natural teeth due to decay, periodontal disease or injury may suffer from further decay, and difficulty eating and speaking. The absence of teeth can also lead to a sunken, collapsed appearance in the mouth area. By restoring the physical presence of teeth, this malformation is corrected and the patient can maintain their normal appearance.

Dental Implants
Reduction of Bone Resorption: When a tooth is lost, the supporting bone structure gradually recedes over time. Dental implants integrate with the jaw bone and stimulate its preservation, allowing the bone to stay healthy and intact while maintaining your natural facial contours and appearance.

We have an endodondist (root canal specialist), an orthodontist, and two periodontists (gum specialist) on staff in our office. For oral surgery we will refer you to our network of specialists in the area.
Maxillofacial Surgery
Maxillofacial surgery is the treatment of problems affecting the mouth, teeth, gums, jaws and related facial structures. Procedures are often performed on patients with skeletal and dental irregularities that occur as a result of congenital defects, injury, disease or other factors. Maxillofacial surgery is also performed to treat patients with oral cancer, tumors and cysts of the jaws.
Tooth Extractions
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children by age 8 see and orthodontist to advise if orthodontic treatment is required and if it is the best time for the patient to be treated. The first permanent molars and incisors have usually come in by that time and crossbites, crowding, and other problems can be evaluated. When treatment is begun early, the orthodontist can guide the growth of the jaw and influence the eruption of incoming permanent teeth. Early treatment can also regulate the width of the upper and lower dental arches, gain space for permanent teeth, avoid the need for permanent tooth extractions, reduce likelihood of impacted permanent teeth, correct thumb-sucking, and eliminate abnormal swallowing or speech problems. In other words, early treatment can simplify later treatment.
Bone Grafting
All treatment begins with a thorough exam and consultation. Typically, the process can take from three to six months. In some cases, the process may take longer because additional treatments, such as bone grafting, may be required to build up the bone in order to receive the implant. The procedure and time frame chosen depends on several factors; your dental health, the condition and quality of your jaw bone, and the number of your teeth involved. We will discuss all appropriate treatment options and recommendations with you in order to customize the best plan possible for your individual requirements and goals.

Orthodontics
Orthodontic treatment is just not for children. While it is very beneficial to catch bite problems early because the bones are still growing, malocclusions can be successfully treated at any age. Crooked teeth, overbites, underbites, misaligned jaws and other dental issues can be corrected in adults in a little more time than children's orthodontics takes. Aside from achieving a beautiful smile you can wear proudly, orthodontics can provide you with a healthier mouth because straight teeth are much easier to clean, reducing your chances of developing tooth decay and gum disease.
Invisalign Orthodontics
Individuals who want to avoid the appearance of traditional metal braces often turn to Invisalign as a "virtually invisible" alternative. We use cutting-edge 3-D diagnostic imaging to map your mouth, design a specialized treatment plan, and create a series of custom-made aligners. You wear each aligner for approximately two weeks, progressing to each set until you reach the goal you agreed upon with your dentist.
Braces
More comfortable: Traditional metal braces may irritate cheeks and gums. Invisalign's smooth plastic aligners are more comfortable to many patients.
