        Taxi is faster and can be cheaper

        Made a non refundable reservation before arriving in New Orleans. $15 dollars a person round trip. After waiting in line for 30 minutes for shuttle (and being more than 15 people back in line for a 15 passenger van) we decided to take a cab. New Orleans taxis have a flat rate of $30 for two people to and from French Quarter and Downtown (additional passengers $12); so for 2 people the rate is the same, for more it is cheaper. I suspect the long wait at the airport is common since licensed cab drivers cruise buy the shuttle stand slowly with doors open.



        Return trip, the shuttle arrived at our hotel at agreed time, but made about 5 other stops to pick up passengers. Would be faster to call a cab.
