the atmosphere is one of the best in town, Me and my girl ate on the outside deck which was the only thing we liked..... we order several appetizers the calmaria which was ok the cheese n crackers was a joke the crab dip was horrible I don't think there was crab in it more like cheese dip we also order the crab cake sandwich the crab cake was a joke it was probably cooked earlier n not used instead of giving us a new one we ate the old soggy one ..... a waste of a nite and $80 would not suggest this place to no one unless u just wanna drink n enjoy the view

Provided by SuperpagesHad a wonderful dinner while watching the Christmas Flotilla. Mo Burger was great! Sooo big I could hardly finish it. A friend had the skewered shrimp and loved it. I'll certainly be returning either for dinner or lunch. Service was great, also.

Provided by SuperpagesMe and my wife went in for dinner at 7:30. I ordered a steak and she ordered the pork tenderloin. The food didnt even come out until 8:25, which is almost an hour wait. The steak was way undercooked. I didnt even go through the hastle of sending it back because obvioulsy the guy running the grill doesnt know how to cook his steaks. The server was outstanding, checking on us every five to ten minutes. The menu is way overpriced. The half salads and outstanding brownies. This was last Saturday night.

The food was so good and the atmosphere was beautiful we sat on the top deck and it was just lovely. I can't wait until my out of town family comes so I can bring them to Persimmons.

Provided by SuperpagesMy wife and I dined at Persimmmon's recently. The atmosphere was excellent with a great view of the Neuse River. We were impressed with the wine and spirits menu as well as the attentiveness of the wait staff. I had the grouper while my wife at the chicken dish. Both were delicious as well as the sides. Highly recommend to anyone seeking a true dining experience

Provided by SuperpagesOur group was very disappointed. The staff was confused, kept us waiting 45 minutes to seat us while there was plenty of empty tables. Food was mediocre to say the least. With all the confusion, our meal took two hours when we should have been out in one hour. Will not go back for a long time until they get their act together.

Provided by SuperpagesWhat a disappointment! I called at 11:00 a.m. for a reservation for a party of 5 at 5:30 p.m. I was told that after 80 reservations, they took no more so walk-ins could be served; When we arrirved they were baffled about seating 5 people. We stood around waiting for a table and finally they took us upstairs where there was a party of 5 at a table and one other couple. They put a chair at the end of a table for 4 which was unsatisfactory. A table for six was there, but they refused us that table. After waiting 30 min., they put a table together for 6 exactly like it on the other side of the room. 3 of the five dinners were unsatisfactory. There was no vegetarian dinner on the menu; they fixed a vegetarian plate, It had fried food with grease. Only a few bites could be eaten . A salad plate was ordered without cheese. It was full of cheese and had to be sent back. Tuna was sinewy and could not be eaten. 3 or the 5 dinners were unsatisfactory. It was a comedy of errors.

Provided by SuperpagesMy husband and I sat at the bar and ate seared scallops that were delicious and cooked to perfection; we moved to a table for dinner and had the pork tenderloin special that also was cooked to perfection and black grouper that was outstanding. The atmosphere, the staff and the food were fabulous. A must visit if you're in New Bern. Open for lunch and dinner.

Provided by SuperpagesDinning ambiance was excellent, the restaurant was staffed with waiters beyond belief. A very nice menu of fine dinning as well as a nice selection of 'bar food". My wife had the Roasted caesar Salad (outstanding) and Fish and Chips from the lower priced menu, I had the Sirloin Steak off the upscale menu (the beef was very tasty and quite tender although over cooked) The issues we found was cold potatoes on both of our meals. My wife's French Fries were very cold and my Scalloped Potatoes served with my sirloin steak was also cold. The bread that was served prior to the meal was cold and tasteless. I had a side salad prior to my meal and the Blue Cheese Salad Dressing left a lot to be desired. Yes we will go back, the ambiance and service is the best in New Bern
