Cool Hand Luke's Steakhouse & Saloon

EXCELLENT SERVICE
My wife and I have been to Cool Hand Luke's quite a few times and have always had excellent service. The wait staff is very pleasant and the food is always great, with the steak being cooked to perfection. On our Birthdays they complement us with a free dessert.

Of the many visits to Lukes I experienced my first disappointment! We had family here visiting from Oregon, naturally I wanted to "treat" them to dinner at Lukes. My neice and nephew barely ate their meal as they understood their meal to have been prepared differently, my drink tasted as it had soured, they ran out of my steak of choice. Upon receiving my second choice of meat I received it luke warm at best. My potatoe was ordered and/or prepared wrong - twice! Our server apologized, we then received a complimentary dessert for us to share.....just didn't seem like a fair deal though.

I enjoy the atmosphere, food & drink at Luke's, and, I feel the service is fair to good. I will go again & I hope I don't experience another evening like this one - it would be my last.

I chose the$20 combo meal. I had the shrimp scampi with chipotle BBQ ribs, green beans, garden salad and a strawberry lemonade served in a quart nason jar. My companion selected the rib eye steak, baked potato, garden salad, Pepsi in a jar, and chocolate cake for dessert. The ribs were tender and juicy with just a hint of chipotle pepper, but very little heat. The scampi consisted of six large peeled shrimp swimming in a buttery garlic sauce. Hmmm, delish! The rib eye was cooked to order and huge. All of the sides were fresh and complimented our meal perfectly. Service was fantastic. Needless to say, we had plenty of food left over to take home. The total bill for two people came to $59.00--not bad for a special occasion, but would probably break the bank if done everyday.
