        This is a must stop place if you are in Nashville. Had a great time. Great crowd, service and excellent band.

        Tootsies is in the Nashville Tennessee airport. Great sandwiches, burgers etc. they have live entertainment also.

        Terrible, terrible, terrible. The bouncer here was so rude and inappropriate. He needs to be fired before anyone else should visit this bar. This man is a terrible representation of the establishment. I only have one star because I couldn't give zero.

        A Nashville Must Do

        This is a great place to feel the energy of Nashville for old and young alike. You can't help but get swept up with the music and the talent. What a thrill for country music fans to see autographed black and white photos of icons such as Hank Williams, Sr., Patsy Cline and countless others. It's a down-to-earth, old fashioned saloon located behind the historic Ryman Auditorium. If you visit Nashville, put Tootsie's Orchid Lounge on your list of things to experience. It is part of Nashville's rich music history, and you'll have a great time.

        'Mom's' was the original name of Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, Tootsie Bess bought Mom's in 1960. She credits a painter with naming Tootsie's. She came in one day to find that he had painted her place orchid...thus the name Tootsie's Orchid Lounge. Famous early customers were Kris Kristofferson, Faron Young, Willie Nelson, Tom T. Hall, Hank Cochran, Mel Tillis, Roger Miller, Webb Pierce, Waylon Jennings, Patsy Cline and many more. Performers at the Opry would sometimes sneak out the side door and grab a drink at Tootsie’s between sets. In 1992, local businessman Steve Smith reinvested in Tootsies and is credited for part of the revitalization of downtown Nashville. Today, Tootsies is an international destination visited by locals and tourists alike. Tootsie’s is known for having the best local musicians and as a haven for some the world’s most popular acts.
