Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

MRI
Hand/wrist/arm pain and hand weakness, particularly with negative work-up (eg, normal blood tests, radiographs, MRI, EMG/NCV, bone scan), and lack of response to treatment (eg, oral medication, splint, exercise, physical therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy; and/or surgery). Dr. Ericson has given presentations locally, nationally and internationally on this pattern of complaints, specifically with regard to the anatomic aspects of their etiology, evaluation, and treatment. This pattern of problems is common in patients with joint hypermobility, such as Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and also many women.
