Hair Cuttery

THE WORST HAIR CUTTERY AROUND!! I have been a fan of Hair Cuttery because of the prices and because I usually just get my hair trimmed (no major styling) but I will never go to them again. I went in to have my hair trimmed, knowing that my hair was a little damaged from blow drying and using flat irons often I told the stylist to take off "1 inch at the most". Going in my hair was fairly long, to my mid to lower back. I have naturally curly hair so it does appear shorter when wet. As she started cutting my hair I stopped her to ask how much she was taking off. She said not much and gestured with her hands that she was taking off 1 inch, maybe a little more. I told her that was okay and she continued cutting. She insisted several times that it would look longer when straightened so I decided not to panic. I left the salon with my hair curly and when I got home and straightened it I was in shock! My hair was ABOVE my shoulders!! Wishing this was all a bad dream I drove back to the salon since I was unhappy/horrified by my hair cut. When I went to the salon I spoke with the manager. I told her this was not what I wanted or asked for. She told me that there was no way to get my money back and had me fill out a form with my name and phone number. She said she would contact me but I still have not heard from them. The stylist who had done my hair was still there. After passing by me three times without saying anything, she asked if everything was alright? I told her I didn't like it and confronted her about how many inches she cut off. She replied "an inch maybe and inch and a half." Then nonchalantly said I'm sorry and turned away. Maybe that stylist needs to go back to school to freshen up on math because no way did she only cut that much hair off. Remember my hair was to my mid/lower back now it is above my shoulders, she cut at least 4 inches off probably 5. Before I left the manager even had to trim a few pieces in that back that were uneven. As I mentioned above I have been going to Hair Cuttery for years and I have gotten my hair trimmed both curly and straight but never again! I never write reviews but felt that this was necessary to warn people. I'm sure their haircuts are fine for men, but women beware!
