        We were at the Waffle house on S. Mt. Juliet Rd two weeks ago, and as we were leaving a young couple came with too dogs on leashes. The lady said one was a service dog, but neither the lady nor her companion seemed disabled and neither dog had on a service vest. Yesterday (2-13-11) about 10:00 am we went back and had just been seated when the couple came in again with the same two dogs. Neither dog had on a service vest. We asked the server why they were allowing dogs in the restaurant (some people have severe allergies and it is against the law). We got up and left. The manager needs some training about when and if dogs should be allowed in the restaurant. We will not be eating at this particular restaurant again.

        The first Waffle House restaurant was opened on Labor Day in 1955 in Avondale Estates, Ga. Since then, it has grown into a chain of more than 1,500 company and franchise-owned casual restaurants in over 25 U.S. states. It serves a variety of waffles, steaks, omelets, hamburgers, country ham, pork chops and grits.
