Compagno's Market & Deli

There is parking in front of the market.
They have excellent deli sandwiches and salads so they can be used for lunch catering.
Kids are always welcome. This market has military miniatures which will keep the attention of every child.
I eat here when I am in the Monterey area, 2-3 times per year.
The bread they offer is fresh, soft and tasty. I usually order the turkey sandwich but have enjoyed the salami and cheese as well. They offer side salads including macaroni, chicken salad and potato. Each is fresh and creamy.
With the size of the sandwiches, I usually don't have enough stomach to order much more than the salad and sandwich. I often take 1/2 of the sandwich for a second meal. The desserts do look amazing and I have never seen a full selection because most servings have been ordered and eaten by the time I have ordered.
The sandwiches have been voted best in Monterey and are well deserving of this award.
Campagno's has a vast selection of beers and wines with many of the beers being imports.
This is a small market with a deli. There are a few tables but most sandwiches are ordered to go. My family usually ventures down to one of the many beaches to eat these magnificent sandwiches.
I am always greeted with a warm handshake and a "how is your family". The employees are extremely nice and attentive.
