I recently flew on spirit airl...

I recently flew on spirit airlines over the Christmas Holiday. I have NEVER had such a horrible experience!! and their customer service sucks. A flight that was supposed to cost me and my boyfriend $250ish, ended up costing us twice that amount. Here I thought that I was getting a great rate. Guess I was wrong!! They charged me an additional $59.95 for signing up for their "Club Fair", which I never excepted or agreed to pay an annual payment of. They tacked that amount onto my already overly priced flight. The annual fee is non-refundable, so I couldn't even get a credit back for that. What kind of customer service is that? They charge for bags if you check them or carry them on.

I will NEVER and I don't recommend anyone to fly with them, unless you feel like getting ripped off. Their supervisor wasn't willing to give me a credit for this mistake and it cost him a future customer in me and hopefully many others will not choose SPIRIT AIRLINES when flying.

I have been trying to contact someone about a complaint i have against spirit airlines. They were very unprofessional and inconsiderate. I purchased almost 24 tickets for flight 906 on 1/7/2016.

I can't even give a star for this airlines. The services in Fort Lauderdale is horrible and especially that Uncle Tom name Leon. Really how are rules different here than back home. Why is the the two states have different rules. Really I don't get it.

Today was HORRIBLE.Service sucked. Leon who claims he runs the department implied that Spirit Airlines in Metro Detroit were incompetent, unaware of Spirit Airlines policy. We came to Florida with no problems. All kinds of problems getting home. No one answers the corporate numbers...

I have flown many airlines and Spirit Airlines is by far the WORST airline possible. WAKE UP SPIRIT AIRLINES AND LISTEN TO THE CONSUMERS!!!! I booked a flight and Spirit changed my flight. As a result, my husband and I were offered two free round-trip vouchers to use up to a year. Guess What?....I could not fly when I wanted to. I was flexible but nothing was available for several months to use my voucher. So I was going to "give in" and fly on a date finally available only to find out that I had to pay an additional $200.00 for taxes and fees (on top of the pricey baggage fees). I WILL NEVER USE SPIRIT AIRLINES AGAIN!!! And never mind getting any good customer help! This rates LOWER than one star!

DO NOT FLY WITH THEM - THEY OVERBOOKED A FLIGHT BY 20 PEOPLE AND THEN TRIED TO CHARGE ME EXTRA TO FIX IT. I THEN HAD TO GET A TAXI AND TAKE A 4 HOUR BUS RIDE TO GET TO MY DESTINATION. Pay the extra for another airline.

I was involved in an auto accident the day I was to fly out and I contacted the airline from the emergency room while getting staples put in my head. I prepaid for my luggage $60, prepaid seat assignments $280, shortcut boarding $23.96. I was told by email that too bad so sad your screwed out of that money because I didn't cancel in a timely fashion. I didn't want someone to hit me, total my car, me end up with staples in my head and my car totaled. This was our 1st time flying Spirit and I will guarantee we will NEVER fly Spirit.

Don't ever fly Spirit!

I purchased tickets for my parents to visit me in Florida. Five days before the trip, my mother ended up in the hospital. When i called Spirit and explained the cituation, they simply stated that tickets are not refundable and they will issue a credit toward next booking of less then 30% of the price we paid and the offer would expire in 60 days. Needless to say, the tickets were lost, my parents could not come over during the 60 days period we were given, and i did not get any credit at all. I'm sure that our seats were resold and Spirit did double dipping. This was a Highway Robbery.

FIRST, WHEN YOU BOOK IN ADVANCE TO GET THE GREAT PRICES, THE AIRLINES CONSTANTLY CHANGE YOUR DEPARTURE TIMES ON YOUR TICKETS SENDING COUNTLESS NOTICES THAT YOU HAVE TO MONITOR. CASE IN POINT, I WAS LEAVING AT 1:00 IN THE AFTERNOON AND GOT BUMPED TO THE 6:00 AM FLIGHT....WHAT A HASSLE SPEAKING TO SOMEONE FROM INDIA WHO IS READING A SCRIPT. THEY KEPT TELLING ME THAT I WOULD NEED TO CANCEL MY FLIGHT (CANCELLATION FEE IS $200) AND THEN TO RE-BOOK AND BUY A NEW TICKET.



THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO HELP OR SUPPORT HERE FROM PEOPLE WHO CANNOT THINK PAST WHAT THEY READ IN THEIR SCRIPTS...JUST CANNED PHRASES AND A SCREW YOU ATTITUDE.



STAY CLEAR! YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.....HARD LESSON LEARNED.

Service Stinks!

I am trying to cash in my mileage with no luck. I have built up 35,000 miles but cannot claim them because Spirit has me with no mileage. The bank has trsfered my mileage to Spirit but they have me with no miles as if someone has stolethe miles. I have sent three e-mails over three months. I finally got a reply to my third e-mail but not an answer to my question just a cut and past answer with a referral back to reservations. I have never been able to get a hold of anyone to speak to except reservations which is some guy from India I can hardly understand because of his accent. I have to constantly ask him to slow down and repeat things. Finally, I am driving to Holloywood, Florida, to their office to see if I can find someome because everytime I call the number no on ever answers the phone.

Ripped us Off

I booked a flight on Spirit using a discount online airline ticket broker.

Had to pay $90 to get on flight at airport when Spirit said they only

received partial payment from broker.

My charge card shows Spirit received 2 payments prior to flight for

entire fare. Faxed all info to Spirit on July 1st. Have not heard from

them.

As others say, there is no way to get to them at corporate in

Florida. You get bounced around to messages,

They have worst customer service in the industry.

The worst experiece ever

First, when I booked my reservation, it got duplicated and still don't know why. The thing is that I was charged twice, to recover the overcharged was war. Still they stalled for 19 days before making the refund for  $1211.00.Second, on April 20 when I went online to select seats for me and my family, to my surprise I found that the flight I booked was cancelled and we were moved to an overnight flight withoutany consultation and without any other alternatives.Third, on March 19 I went online and bought the baggage which are separate and for which I was charged $150.00. The date arrived and when we got to the airport the baggage didn't show in their computers I told the that they were prepaid and they let me go without any problem. Since the baggage didn't show in Puerto Rico I called reservations  on 3 ocassions the told me that they couldn't help me, that it has to be fixed at the counter when I get to the airport. I asked to be transfer to a supervisor and they refused. So I went online and downloaded a statement from my credit card showing the payment for my baggage with the flight file locator right there in the statement. When I got to the airport at Fort Lauderdale Hu!the story SUCKS. The counter people consulted their supervisor and she refused to honor the statement,even when they tried several times because I insisted, at last she came to the counter and talked to her people I spoke to her the Lady didn't answer me she didn't even looked at me.Now I has spent 2 days trying to reach costumer relations and there is not an assessible phone to costumer relations and their email  costumerr@spiritair.com messages are returned undeliverable.

Horrible! Terrible!

Non-existent customer service.

When you factor in the hassle of hunting down customer service, or your bags (the lost mine!), their cheap prices reflect the quality of their service. Save yourself the trouble (not the money!) and pay the extra expense to fly with a reputable airline.

Will not gamble on Spirit airlines again. Very disappointed.
