Rude receptionists

The people answering the phones at a doctors office need to know that by being rude to a patient is the worst thing you can do to them! I called to ask a simple question but this phone jockey was so fast with her speech I could barely keep up with her. I let her behave like the idiot she was for a minute. I then called her on it and immediately her tone changed. Why did I have to teach this phone jockey that being courteous is part of her job?! She needs to find another line of work. And those who manage that clinic need to know that the people answering the phones could benefit from some training!!!

Plenty other good clinic out there...

I had a terrible experience at Edina Famimly Physicians. My appointment was at 1:30. I saw the GP I was scheduled with at 3. I was taken back to an office around 2:45. The waiting room was a zoo. It had the feel of a walk-in clinic.Unfortuatnely, it only got worse from there. As a Breast Cancer patient, I made an appointment with Dr. Gamradt due to hip pain I had been experiencing. Neither her or her nurse asked what stage my BC was diagnosed and in the consult she responded to me by saying "Breast Cancer patients are always worried about normal things".I responded by saying that "Unfortuatnely we have too". I wonder if she would say the same to her daughter, mother sister or friend who was a BC patient and started having hip pain? Eventually, due to my broad scary family history with BC, she wrote me a script for an MRI., However, she wrote it in such a way that no insurance company would ever pay by stating "elective" and "mild pain". I was so discouraged I ended up following up wi

Prompt, professional and knowledgable

I've been going to Edina Family Physicians for 2 years now. At first it was difficult to get in for appointments, however in the last couple of months (since 7/09) their availability of doctors has greatly increased. I am particulary impressed with their knowledge - having had a condition for years before that was never correctly diagnosed or treated. My very first visit my condition was diagnosed and treated.

Out of Meds

Sometimes takes a week or more for response to pharmacy requests for refills.

Find Someone Else

She made an inappropriate referral ($6,000) for a procedure that was unnecessary. When questioned about it, she just glossed it over. When asked for sleep medication, she replied, "just take Tylenol PM." Taking Tylenol everyday can harm your liver. Halcion or Restoril would have been better choices, but she wants a gold star by her name for prescribing less benzodiazepines. She doesn't care if her patients get sick or die from liver damage, not to mention insulting her patients' intelligence. That's also funny , because doctors and their spouses are probably the biggest users of benzodiazepines. When prescribing Synthroid, she does a horrible job of monitoring. She isn't very good at detail at all. Not to mention, the staff at this clinic are very rude and inept. The people that answer the phone can't understand a basic question. This clinic is way overrated (they have made a lot of mistakes over the years.) Keep yourself safe, don't go there.
