Main Street Children's Dentistry and Orthodontics of Aventura

I had been going to a great dentist in Hollywood for 4 years but decided to try a new Dentist closer to my home in Aventura. The staff with the exception of one woman was rude, unprofessional and careless in taking my information and making appointments. I received 15 call sfrom their answering service in two weeks prior to my first appointment.



I went for my visit and was told that I needed a cleaning more aggressive than a regular cleaning which would cost more. I was told that I needed antibiotics in my gums for receding gum lines and 5 cavities.



I have not had a cavity since I was a teenager, I go for my check-up every 6 months and don't consume sugar or soda. As a matter of fact I take pride in a healthy diet and quit smoking two years ago. My teeth are white and have gotten much nicer since I stopped smoking. What I am trying to say is that I immediately became suspicious of their $3000 estimate.



Please keep in mind that I have great denatl isnurance which they noticed and complimented me on before giving me the estimate.



I paid the $25 and picked up a copy of my x-rays which took them 5 days and 2 in person visits to get.



I RECEIVED TWO OTHER OPINIONS FROM TWO REPUTABLE DENTISTS:



-I HAVE NO NEW CAVITIES !

-I DO NOT NEED ANTIBIOTICS, I NEED SENSODYNE AND TO USE LISTERINE AS A PREVENTATIVE MEASURE!

- I AM FINE WITH A REGULAR CLEANING AND AT MOST COULD USE SOME CREST WHITE STRIPS IF I CHOOSE



They are crooks and they are lying in efforts to make money and take advantage of good dental coverage.
