Overall

The point of this review is to deter as many people as possible from Brickell Bay Animal Hospital. DO NOT use this vet if you care about your animal. For starters they only want your money and do whatever it takes to get every penny from you. Carla charges for every little thing possible. On my last appointment she wanted to charge me another $59 just to speak with a vet for 2 minutes. That wouldn’t be a problem and I’m happy to pay but not after I was already there and drove 45 minutes away. In addition, they said multiple times my visit would be free if I come back in 2 weeks from my other appointment, I did just that and they wanted to charge me again! Very shady business they run. If you read the other comments online, they say the same thing – no communication and only want your money. At least 6 of the same reviews.

Because I refused to pay the extra unnecessary fee Carla demanded to close my file and not have me come back. She rather lose a paying client over $59, really?

When you make comments like I can't wait to read your response, it's obvious the sole purpose of your response is to attack and destroy. And why? Because your scam, which we will explain, didn't work like you wanted it to. You said I took your dog to the back and you heard him cry. Why didn't you tell me when I came back with him and ask what happened? Why did you keep coming to us? You say our sole purpose is take everyone's money from them. Then when you moved to Pembroke Pines, why did you continue to commute all the way to Brickell to see us as your veterinarian? You passed 30 other hospitals during your commute to our hospital. No, you wrote this review because you're hurt and upset that you were caught playing games. Two weeks ago this client brought his dog in for annuals and was scheduled to receive two vaccines. The client did not want to do both at the same time so we accommodated his wishes and gave one vaccine that day and asked him to return in two weeks so we could administer the second vaccine. We told the owner that there would be no charge for the second vaccine (he had already paid for the annual vaccine package on his first visit and administering the remaining vaccine is not a service that we schedule time with the Doctor). When the owner arrived he said that he now wanted to also see the Doctor because he found a lump on his dog and he was limping. Our technician told him that is not included for the type of visit he was currently coming in for but if he wanted to see the Doctor for an exam and consultation to evaluate a new health issue, we would accommodate him but there would be a charge for the office visit/consultation. This owner was unhappy with that and our office manager explained to him that there would NOT be a charge to administer the vaccine, but that there would be a Doctor's office visit charge since he was coming in for a different issue which the previous visit two weeks ago did not cover. The owner verbally agreed to the charge. (I have that on video and audio surveillance and the reason is so that everyone--clients, doctors, and our staff, are accountable for what they say to protect everyone from actions such as this and what this owner did next). After our doctor performed a full physical exam and a twenty-three minute consult with the owner, he then proceeded to the front counter and was presented with the bill for the exam/consultation. He told the front staff that he was not going to pay and that he was told by the office manager that there was no charge. When our office manager told him that was not what they discussed he still refused to pay the bill and left. A couple of days later we called the owner. He had a dental procedure scheduled the following month, and we wanted to see if he was still going to come here to have it performed. He said YES! After all of this, and what he wrote above, he still wanted to come back. We told him that he had an outstanding bill to pay if he wanted to continue veterinary services with our hospital. His last statement was, "I hope you like your online reviews". He then wrote the above piece of fiction.
