Overall

Charged me twice for a service call and I can't get the charge removed after 3 weeks, 5 phone calls and a bunch of worthless promises

AHS has become the worst Home Warranty Co. around. My gas cooktop went out and they sent out an Technician to do the repairs. In attempting to do the repairs the Technician broke the glasstop and now they are trying to offer me a cooktop that is no way similar to the one I had. By the way it took them about 2 months to come out and do the repairs and that is when the broke the glasstop and had to order another glasstop and when they came back the broke the glass line on one of the front burners and then they realized they were not going to be able to fix it and now I am waiting on a approval for a similar cooktop that I previously had. This is the worst customer experience I have ever encountered. They need to be sued!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do not use this company. They were notified of a sewer leak in my home never responded due to never answer phones. Informed of sewer leaking all over my newly replaced carpets. Sent out worker couldn't do job and when i did get help they refuse to cover.This company horrible. The answering service people all need to be fired.

1 hour and 29 minutes on hold. When asked who can I talk to about the outrageous hold time they said no one. It is every time I call. Why do we all keep paying them?! No one out there does it better?

I have been dealing with burners on my stove for 3 months. It has been a nightmare and the "Piece De Resistance" was yesterday when someone who was to help me resolve my problem hang up on me. So much for customer service. I will be cancelling my contract when it comes up and self fund.

I was LIED to by the salesman Kofi that called me when I requested a quote. I was told by Kofi on a supposed recorded line, when I had a service call to "make a list of repairs" AHS would do all of the repairs for the "same service fee" Also all the other companies does not do pre-existing repairs but AHS does! WELL GUESS WHAT? NOT! My a/c went out just before thanksgiving I had no problem getting the repairman out, before thanksgiving the a/c was working, I thought until I walked into the hall and my carpet was soaking wet from the a/c leaking. I called company back asap same day. they couldn't come out until Friday after thanksgiving..the kitchen was burning up on Wednesday and thanksgiving day. The technician said the evaporator coil/pan was rusted. AHS denied that claim because it was "PRE-EXISTING" I have had to sit on the phone on hold 2 days for an hour each! Tried calling Corp. When I did get through I wanted them to explain how can you have a pre-existing issue when you didn't know it was and issue? They sent out for a second opinion and had the same outcome. I would like to know how can a company have a number 1 rating with the lies their sales department lie to get your business??? I was stupid for not looking at these reviews before I committed myself. I looked on the other website. I'm suppose to be on hold with Corp. right now and that's been 25 minutes and counting. I will let you know the out come.

On 11/7/17 I put in an order American Home Shield( AHS) for washer machine repair with HotShot appliance. I was told that the part would had to be ordered. Hot Shot called me two days before Thanksgiving to inform me that the part was in; However, I could not get an appointment until the Monday after Thanksgivings, once they came out to repair my washer machine they told me that they would have to order another part, because they were not aware that another part need to be replaced as well. With that said, today date is 11/28/17, I'm still waiting for the other part to come in. AHS should have given me the option to replace the item due to the long wait; however, they did offer to replace the washer if I pay half, which I did not except because I should not have to pay half, I feel they should be responsible for replacing the item. I have not been able to wash clothes which is unacceptable. HOTShot also left an empty box on my curb for heavy trash that the new drum to my washer machine came in; they should have taken the empty box with them and not dump it on me for heavy trash to pick up. Years ago, I was a customer with AHS (American Home Shield) and cancelled service due to false advertisement. I found out later that AHS had a lawsuit against them for false advertisement. Years later I thought I would give them another chance since the company had been sued; however, they continue not honoring what they claim what they say they will do. I'm so done with AHS, and yes, I would love to hear from your Corporate Headqualters; so please feel free to contact me, (Charlette Rasberry) at 713-747-0661.

This company put my health in danger then tried to charge me a fee. I had a contract with them. My HVAC went out in 100 degree weather. I called them for emergency service, as I am handicap and have a sever respiratory condition, the heat would trigger it and could risk my health maybe my life. They sent a Vendor that tried to sell me a second contract but did not so any service. I had to go outside of this company and get service to prevent an emergency visit to the ER. I contacted them and told them the situation, canceled my contract and they sent me a bill for $75 service fee for a service that was not done. The call was a sales call not service call. They are not a good company!!! They are trying to take advantage of a handicap person and they put my life at risk. Shame on them.

The worst company on earth do not waist your money I had a problem with my water heater I called on Tuesday july 11 2017 they send earl plumbing on Wednesday the 12 I needed a new water heater he said but they would not authorize the work because its expensive it's not my problem since they send the guy I called every day since long hold and I mean long hold and I even called the headquarters office and asked who would be responsible for the water damage they said I have to take care of it I'm very very upset they take the payment right away but to get help it's a nightmare and we have to chase the help we need ����‍♂️����‍♂️Awful company spoke to Glenda at headquarters

AHS asked for a second opinion for my A/C. Thank goodness they did because Greenway, the first people to come said I needed a new A/C plus other items so AHS sent out APlus and they were able to fix the A/C. I wrote a letter to the home office of AHS explaining just what went on and they were very happy to receive my input. Thank you AHS for insisting upon a second opinion.

We called AHS because we noticed some electrical sockets were getting warm to hot. There have been several electrical fires in our neighborhood, and we were worried that we had aluminum wire. Tracy called to confirm our appointment, arrived on time, and completed a full inspection. Bottom line - one outlet was replaced, confirmed we had copper wiring (a big relief), and assessed our electric panel. We are going to upgrade two circuits, but the box does not need replacing.

We are most pleased and relieved.

Most problems I call with are fixed quickly and with only one call. If I don't like the contractor selected by AHS I have been able to call back and get a different contractor. Thanks for being flexible.

Easy to request service. Friendly customer service rep. Claim was set up immediately and I was contacted by a contractor within 24 hrs. Contractor immediately repaired our plumbing. Very happy with service from both AHS and the contractor.

I have been extremely impressed with the customer service of AHS and the professionalism of all contractors. Timeliness has never been an issue as all service providers arrived on time, or have telephoned if they encountered any unforeseen circumstances.

I requested service for my air conditioner on-line. Contractor called me next day and also came out next day. Determined problem and replaced defective part from truck stock. Very knowledgeable and personable technician, clean and well-spoken. Highly recommend!

Time contractor has been GREAT! I was contacted in less than 24 hour. My issue has handled quickly and professionally.
