Running Paws Pet Hospital

My experience with this vet was not great. I doubt this review will have an impact on her practices since she has no web presence or even email. I don't recommend her as she will not admit an error, inflates prices, refuses to allow her clients the use of an outside pharmacy, and is very abusive and condescending if you ask her about her policies. She does genuinely care about animals and I do not think she would do anything that would harm an animal. It is her office policies that put me off.

Dr. Gage is condescending to her clients and refuses to take responsibility to her mistakes. She was overly aggressive with an enema for my 3.3 lb dog, tore the mucosa, causing him to bleed for 2 days. When I took him back in, she charged me another $300+ for the visit and tests and sent me to a diagnostic clinic which cost me another $700+.
The verdict? The mucosa was torn by the enema. In all with a last minute !/2 day off work, it cost me over $1,300 for something that she caused. And she refuses to make amends.
Give this one a pass.

Dr Gage and her staff are knowledgeable and caring. I was so concerned when I moved to the McKinney area and had to find a new vet for my pets. All worries were alleviated with Dr. Gage. She cared for my dogs with skill, patience and caring. We had many trips to the vet for routine check ups and unavoidable mishaps. Even when we moved an hour away to our new home we drove the hour to see Dr. Gage for every vet need. We trust her judgement and her skills, her staffs kindness, and gentleness with my pets. She is thorough and kind. For our companion, working dog and friend of many years, when it was time for him to leave, she was compassionate, and caring as always we would not have trusted the job to anyone else. Thank you, Dr. Gage and Jose, for caring for Buster these past few years and for helping him leave this place, your kindness is appreciated.
