You're given one prescription now when you have heart surgery and then you have your skull removed from bleeding on the brain from the blood thinners. You have traumatic brain injury and have horrific headaches, that Tylenol won't help and these doctors give you some patch and say that's going to work and that you need to step down from your pain medication of (1) prescription that was given when you left the hospital to hold you over to go to pain management....really? What is wrong with you people. Patients are at the point of suicide, because of all these new rules about pain medication and what's happening is that the ones that really need them are being punished and are having to suffer from all the horrific pain, for the ones that seem to still get plenty and abuse them. You're NOT taken care of your patients anymore, by making them suffer through the already traumatic surgeries and injuries that they've already gone through and still going through. Treating them like they're addicts after they have one prescription and putting them on some worthless patch that doesn't help them at all. Something needs to be done about this, it's not fair to the ones that really need them and don't abuse them and suffer daily!!! Not only that, the doctor has to have a referral put in for the medication for the pharmacy can have it submitted for refill and the doctor isn't doing that and taking even longer for the patient to receive whatever medication they're supposed to be receiving. There needs to be a better plan of action implemented for the patients to receive better care and not have to wait so long for their medicines, or have to go through so many hoops just to get their medicines. You just can't go pick them up anymore and it's gotten ridiculous.
