Well Jenna, we are sorry you feel this way. And surprised. I have know David of David and Co, way before I purchased this establishment from him. Classy and elegant are far from the adjectives that the customers and staff used for him after we took over in 2005. Apparently when you wrote this review in 8/15, you thought that shiny, chrome, black and white was still in style. Apparently you have not noticed that every chair in the salon had been replaced due to 90% of them not working. You also did not notice that the filthy, moldy shampoo stations that were falling off the wall, were replaced with new cabinet style sinks. And since you did not notice all that, than you did not notice that the disgusting pedicure tubs were replaced with pedicure spas......oh and lets mention the moldy ceilings falling down.....replaced, oops I forgot the tile on the floor that was coming up as you walked on it.......replaced. Not understanding where bargain basement comes in, being that ALL the equipment in the salon has been replaced....bargain basement usually means.....flea market, thrift shop.....we do not sell anything...except for the boutique that has been here since David was here, and all the ladies love it. We have maintained 70% of the staff that was here when we purchased this salon..........weeded out the nasty arrogant ones.....and unfortunately at least 5 have died. And about that friendly professional receptionist.......who was nasty and ugly to people on a daily basis........you can dress up a pig.......but it is still a pig. As far as the wrinkly receptionist, she owns the place.......she provides FREE transportation for women that cannot drive on a daily basis, and certainly does not ignore customers. If you like eating bagels and cream cheese that has been sitting collecting hairspray, than by all means do so. This is a salon, not a restaurant. We also happen to be the only Salon of this type in Margate or Coconut Creek that has maintained the same ownership and has not had to close in the past 10 years. We are sorry that we have not lived up to your standards Jenna. We are apparently doing something right.
