Periodontal Surgery
After graduation, Dr. Carney served our nation's armed forces in the US Navy as an officer in the navy dental corps treating our active duty sailors and marines. He also completed an advanced dental training General Practice Residency (GPR) at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia which included over 200 hours of didactic training as well as advanced training in surgery. His final tour was with the Navy "Sea Bees" which included a deployment to the Middle East supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon completion of his military service, Dr. Carney returned to DFW where he completed his training in the specialty of periodontics, periodontal surgery, and implantology along with credentials in IV sedation.
