Ultrasound
Cataract surgery is typically performed on an outpatient basis. The procedure removes the cloudy lens of your eye and replaces it with a clear artificial lens, called an Intraocular Lens or (IOL). This is a very common procedure that most people undergo at some point in their lifetime. Traditional cataract surgery can be done with ultrasound energy, while many patients choose laser-assisted surgery for a gentler approach and to correct mild to moderate amounts of astigmatism (irregularities in the shape of the eye). We also offer “dropless” cataract surgery where the medications are injected at the time of surgery.
