Epic Gymnasitics

So today we took my daughter and met her friend to Devlin Gymnastics. The girls had gotten matching leotards for the class and they were/have been beyond excited all week to have their first gymnastics class together. All 4 parents rearranged schedules so we could all see their first day.

My wife enrolled my daughter over the phone and the woman said it was ok my daughter was just shy of her 3rd birthday as long as she was potty trained especially since the session would go through her birthday on January 26.



We got to Devlin at 8:45 for the 9AM class with the girls holding hands skipping into the building just to be told the girls can't do class since my daughter is not three. Now I respect policies and can appreciate the standing by them, however, this is not an insurance policy it's just "the" policy. Mind you the only reason they knew my daughter was not 3 was because we had to write her birthdate on a form when we arrived. In reality, I could have just lied on the paper we filled out and said my daughter's bday was 11-26 instead of 1-26. The lady behind the counter even said the same thing, but she responded, now it's too late.



Too late!?!? Two little girls hearts were now broken, crying because we had to leave, guess it's to late to fix that? . We even asked for a one day exception...just so they would not be totally disappointed, but they would not even do that.



It's just "policy". What it really is, is poor customer service and a terrible place that ruins a little kids day.
