Firestone Complete Auto Care

Sent my daughter for work which totalled $494. Her check engine light came on, she was told bring it back, they would do $60 diagnostic check. 3 days later I take my car for alternator problem. Total repair: $397 including an alternator belt which the tech showed me before he repaired. IMMEDIATELY after picking up car it began sqweeling. Took it back, was told it was tensioner belt. Repair:$259 which included $60 for alternator belt. When I questioned the charge was told the first belt was alternator belt, which on the bill showed a number and the word belt and the second charge for a belt, which on the bill showed a number and alternator belt, was really a tensioner belt. Told when they put in belt it automatically comes up as alternator and tech should've changed the name of the belt. After paying for that repair my air conditioner did not work, it was fine when I dropped it off! Took it back, was told it would cost $1100 to repair! Same tech's name on all bills. don't use this shop.

The managers are personable and prompt to respond to any concerns, and the whole staff is great about explaining needed procedures and giving customers a full range of car care options. I have moved across town but keep coming back to this shop because I trust them to keep providing the excellent service I have experienced.

My mother has lifetime rotation purchased through firestone, yet we still get charged.My girlfriend had them run the $20 "Complete Vehicle Inspection" to find out what was wrong with her car. They came up with a faulty Oil Pan Gasket and were prepared to charge her $195.68 for the part alone (which retails at Autozone for 12 dollars.) That is not including the $112 they were going to charge for installation.Also they were going to charge her $70 for a tire alignment, which is basically $30 more expensive than most of their competitors. And $36 for tire rotation, which you can get at wal-mart or Big-O for around or just under $20.It wasn't even the gasket it was the thermostat, a $6 part and ten minute job.The $36 for tire rotation also seems to be an arbitrary number, when we had to get the charges taken off for my mother's vehicle, they were charging her $54 for the same service.I advise everyone to avoid this shop like the plague, untrustworthy and totally unreliable.
