My daughter took here beloved cat that was 9 years old here and the veterinarian was horrible to my daugjhter. My daughter lives paycheck to paycheck and they wanted to do surgery at 1100 dollars to maybe make the cat better with a future of kidney failure and repeat visits.. When my daughter said that she could not afford this option and we had to put the cat down. The vet got so nasty she told here she should not ever have any other animals. She was rude to her, showed no compassion at all and had my daughter in tears. She cared for this cat for nine years and it has been to the vet many times for the bladder blockage and spent hundreds of dollars on this cat.
I would never recommend this vet to anyone. Emergency of not. Find a different vet!!!

BEWARE!

BEWARE: read everything, before you sign anything! Ask for copies of everything. Ask questions! Then ask if the answers are complete and truthful. You have a legal right to all diagnostics results and reports. Ask for all copies of communications and faxes sent to your family vet. Ask if your medications can be purchased cheaper outside of Blue Pearl. If they won't comply with any of these requests, leave immediately and do not return!!!!!! Zero stars

I wish I could give LESS than one star, but it won't allow me to. They were condescending, rude, not compassionate at all. I would never - EVER recommend this place. They wouldn't even see our sweet puppy without a payment - to determine a treatment plan. ALL they cared about was money.

We ended up at Metropolitan Animal Hospital and were very satisfied.

The negligence and disorganization of this facility cost our beautiful girl her life and left ours flipped upside down. It was avoidable and they ripped the chance of saving her from our grasp. No manager would return our calls, not mine or our primary vets who also called and asked for additional info as to why such negligence was displayed. They have completely ignored us as if it never happened. That's just the short side of it. If you love your animals, TAKE THEM SOMEWHERE ELSE. Trust me.

I was so surprised to read the poor reviews for this facility. I guess it really depends on which Dr you are going to. Phoebe has been going for physical therapy for a torn ACL. Dr Schmidtchen & her assistant April have both been incredibly supportive & have helped tremendously. Phoebe is normally terrified to go to the vet. They make her feel as comfortable as possible & she loves all the attention. The front desk staff have all been friendly, polite & professional. My wait time has seldom been over 10 mins & usually we barely sit down before being called back.

I literally never write reviews for anything, but my experience here was so incredible I had to come and share it with everyone. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars.

My 10 month old puppy woke up paralyzed one morning. I took him to a DIFFERENT emergency vet right away, who told me unless I paid $5,000 for a surgery my pup would never walk again. That wasn't in my budget, and the vet told me I needed to put him down- that he would never walk again. Distraught, I brought my puppy home so my boyfriend could say one last goodbye... Then we PLANNED to euthanize him the next morning together.

That night however, we decided to go get a second opinion (even though first vet seemed 100% positive of the condition) We went to BluePearl, since it was one of the few places open. The staff was so kind. I will say this, we had to wait about 3 hours, but I would have waited 3 more for the great service we received.

The staff was so kind. They checked in with us regularly, and answered all our questions. Then the vet came in- Dr. Cullman-Clark!!! I ADORE THIS WOMAN! She was so kind, apologized for the delay (we had come on an unusually busy night), and took her time with us. She did not rush us one bit. She suggested it was a different condition, and said to wait a few days and look for improvement. She even went to the back and MADE us a sling out of medical material to help him walk.

Well guess what guys- 3 days later and my little pup is out there running around and walking!! Almost back perfect, although he cant go up or down steps yet, its only been 3 days. If I had trusted the first vet, he would have never even been given a chance, or I would be $5,000 in debt!!

Not only that, but the vet called me to check, and then called again on her OFF day to check on my puppy and me!! How kind is that? She thinks he should be back normal within a week or two.

I would suggest ANYONE in any type of emergency situation to come here first before anywhere else. I have never met anyone who so genuinely cares about their patients. Cost me $85 dollars :-)

THANK YOU BLUEPEARL

I took my 9 year old Bassett hound there because she had been vomiting for a week. They did an ultrasound and told me she probably had stomach cancer. They gave her meds for pancreatitis that did nothing. Charged me 650.00 for exam and ultrasound. He also said to be sure that she had cancer the surgery would cost 4000.00. I took her to a different vet after almost putting down. Exploratory surgery showed an obstruction removed it and my baby is better.

Will give you a diagnosis...

I took my 10 year old Rottweiler to LVS because she had not been able to walk on her front leg for months. Our regular vet told me it was probably arthritis, did not even do an x-ray, prescribed rymdial anti-inflammatory. The meds seemed to help for awhile but not solve the problem, it just got worse until she had a large swelling in her shoulder joint. I took her to LVS, all of the staff were very polite and helpful. They did xrays, examination, and cellular sample. They were able to tell me that day the diagnosis was cancer and outline all the treatment options as well as approximate costs. Unfortunately, all the treament options would have been very painful and would not have saved my baby's life. LVS gave me enough pain meds to ease her discomfot until it became necessary to put her to sleep (about 6 weeks later). They sent all the necessary information to my regular vet so I was not troubled with having to update them in order to renew her prescriptions. Their office is very clean and technologically up-to-date. I wish LVS did routine care as well as specialty, I would take all my pets there.
